Default Early signs that you'd be a stripper...

A girl at work was talking about the movie Purple Rain and said that when she was in sixth grade or so she wanted to dance to "Sex Shooter" for the talent show. haha. That reminded me of a similar incident in which I wanted to do a stage dance to the song "Live to Tell," by Madonna for our Jr. High talent show. I don't remember wanting it to be sexy, but I did want it to be very dramatic.

How about you guys? Any early signs?

Heh. Goodness, where do I start?
Always wanted to entertain & was artsy, wished for money. Should have known I was Jewish then! LOL
I wanted to start at age 18 but I had bad teeth & a controlling boyfriend. So here I am now.

i caused major drama at my high school when i decided to do nude self bodypainting as my major final year art assignment. i painted myself nude and got a friend to take photos. someone got offended and started a huge drama and we had to get the state school board involved, and my work was banned from ever being shown at school art exhibits.

also, in our yearbook, we all had profiles with little 'joke' occupations, eg "most likely to become...". mine said "stripper". as far as i know, i'm the only person from my graduating class to live up to my suggested yearbook job

i also used to regularly encourage people to have costume parties just so i could dress up as a slutty nurse or school girl.

i think becoming a stripper was my destiny.

When i was little (like 7ish)I had this lil playhouse and I would let th lil neighborhood boys peek in while i undressed ( i put on like 2 coats, 3 sweaters and 2 shirts, and went down to normal clothes, but still,)

My best friend and i went to a local sc(we were 16 and 14) and filled out applications (lied about our ages) just to see if wed get hired. They told us we had to wear t- backs, and we thought they meant tea bags, lol.

And then in nursing school (at 22) I remember telling the girls, ughhh I wish I could get paid to just look cute. They told me to try out for Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and I considered it, until I found out the pay. I worked my ass off and somethign I hated for 4 more years, before my Husband and i started visiting clubs and I found out how much strippers really made.

I always felt comfortable being naked in front of the guys. I hated the way clothing made me feel akward. Plus, I always wanted to be someone else and a bit mysterious. I always kepy my slutty rep under wraps in HS. I always secretly like being on the naughty side of life.

I wanted to dance my whole life. Soon after I learnt to walk I was dancing, mostly dreaming of being a ballet dancer and dancing to classical music which was about all there was in our house. I loved the old time burlesque dancers from a very early age, I remember seeing clips on tv and being fascinated when I was robably about 4 or 5. I wanted to strip in a more modern day style from at least the age of 9. I was very influenced by a few interviews I saw with various pub strippers in the early 80's on tv also. They seemd to strong and in control!

All that and I didnt end up actually trying stripping until I was 29!

Im a middle child, so used to wanting attention. Plus I had a sleazebag teacher in Highschool, and learnt the power of shirts with an extra few buttons undone, and leaning forwards alot to get 'A's

Ive always loved dance, and joined a belly dance troupe at 15 (as risque as you get in a small farming community)

When I became a starving Uni student I wandered through the adult district of the city, went to have a look in a SC and was hired on the spot.

My god the money! I used to be so happy about earning $140 a WEEK in my parttime job, Now I bitch if I work 3 hours and dont take home that much!

when i was 6 my school asked if i had been molested (i hadnt) because i would walk around lifting my skirt, all the time.showing everyone who would look my underwear.
then at age 8,a boy in my class was sad, to cheer him up, i flashed him my 'breasts'

    haha

at highschool i was in the 'slam book' as most likley to be a stripper and porn star- i guess it was a joke tho, cos i hadnt even been kissed!! haha and i had big goofy glasses.

When I was ten I found Gypsy Rose Lee's autobiography at a used book store. At the time I did not ever know who she was nor anything about stripping. I just picked it out because of the catchy name. I read it till it fell apart now I am looking for another copy.

OMG weird as it is... I grew up super shy and very plain... My first time in a dance club I freaked out and begged my boyfriend to let me just sit and watch... Im very NOT into dancing or being the center of attention... actually when i considered dancing I laughed at myself all the way to the club. Why the hell would I consider a job like that when I hated everything about it? I was only confident about my body being in good shape...

Anyways to make a long story short it's funny had you told me anytime in my life that one day I'd be a stripper I seriously would have cried laughing.. ME? Shy me? lol But yeah now I LOVE it!

Even though I'm very shy- I was always an exhibitionist.
I was always trying to wear something too short, when I went to parties in high school.....I always came out of my shell and had lots of people talking about me.

I love to dance in the middle of crowd- but never with or on a guy. It drove them crazy how I would move my hips, bend over stick out my butt but when someone came close, I'd move away or stop dancing.

When I left home, most women would go shopping for club clothes at the mall, I would go to the stripper store. A few times I was turned away by the door for my outfit being too risque. haters! lol(This was in a small town)

I had stripper heels and boots years ago befoe I even thought I would strip!

I was just a weirdo. I'd die my hair all sorts of colours, from fire engine red, to chocolate brown, to platinum (and somehow I'm not bald)...and even though I was a big nerd I wore fishnets, fuck-me boots, and mini-skirts from about Grade Nine onward. Now I'm always in jeans.

When I started University, I thought about going professional with my Tarot Card reading for cash. I made some cash and alot of infamy in high school 'telling fortunes'. It's kinda all I was known for, besides being overly-out spoken in Social Sciences classes (and super quiet everywhere else). I don't know if all that adds up to stripper, but it's all I can think of...

EXCEPT I do remember seeing some stripper thing on TV at my grandma's house when I was about six or so. When I got called upstairs to go to bed, I showed my parents and grandparents the 'dance style' I saw on tv. I walked all 'sexy' and slowly stripped off my pjs until I was nude and flashing them. The look on their faces. I think they removed the pay channels from the TV after that.

I had a canopy bed when I was young and I remember twirling around the posts dancing to "Jane Says" by Janes Addiction. I always thought that was a classic "stripper song". Also, I would put on my rollerblades/skates and stand in front of the mirror thinking about how much trimmer I would look of I could just walk around in them all day. Looking back, I feel like these are all signs. My dad worked a lot when we were kids so I also feel that I am slightly deprived for male attention.
However, the first time I went to a strip club I was mortified; the girl asked me if I wanted to dance. I said HELL NO! But then two years later my friend talked me into going to audition at my local SC. I did, she chickened out and I spent the last two and a half years there.....

I would rather buy lingerie and sexy shoes than clothing. I had to have some place to wear them! And also I have expensive taste, as far as like cosmetics and such go. Oh and also a little side note: I was raised die-hard MORMON! Yes mormon, that's right. THe religion where a skirt that doesn't go past your knees is a SIN. haha!

the summer I turned 13 years old. I walked out of the house wearing last summer's bathing suit, and the passing paperboy promptly rode his bicycle directly into a ditch !

I've always been kind of over-sexed. There was a little girl who lived around the block from me, and we would play "husband and wife" and then get half naked and make out (when we were about 10). So, I kissed a girl before I ever kissed a boy. I think the blatant sexual atmosphere appeals to me. No need to pretend you're not checking the girl out like outside of the club.

I loved going to the strip clubs before I ever worked in one. It's a little mysterious to an outsider, always something going on, I was curious about what the girls were really like when they weren't on the floor.

And of course I love money. Who doesn't?

When I was in kindergarten, I used to show the boys my panties in exchange for money or candy. I'd call that a big sign right there, LOL! Basically I was already a five-year-old stripper!

Oh, and when I was really little I used to like to dress up in fancy underwear (like slips with lace trim) and my mom's heels, and I would get up on the table and dance around to rock music. There is a hilarious video of me at about age four, wearing a lace slip and pump heels and a bunch of self-applied blue eye shadow and red lipstick, dancing on the table top and loudly singing along to AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap)." <--- stripper!

In high school and young adulthood, I was always a tease and an exhibitionist. And the idea of getting naked for money always really turned me on. I used to fantasize about dancing naked on a stage while men threw money and wished they could touch me. I was 26 before I had the guts to actually try it though.

A lot of my friends in high school joked that I would grow up to be a stripper, but I don't think they actually meant it. I was a major intellectual and really into politics. I was actually voted "Most Likely to Be Executed in China."

I have an aunt that was a stripper. I remember being pre school or maybe kindergarten and I found her costumes in her laundry room. The outfits were covered with sequins and fringe and feathers. I though the outfits were soooo pretty. I started trying on her stuff because it looked so small to me, I figured that it must have been things made for little kids.

My grandmother even took a picture of me in my aunt's costumes. I wish I had some copies of those photos. After my grandmother passed most of her photos dissappeared into estate sale oblivion .

As I was growing up I loved to do things like make sexy clothes for my Barbies, and the Barbies would "tease" Ken . I would also always be seeing a stage where there wasn't one. For instance, we had a stepped backyard, and I would use the stepped portion as my stage. Or our fireplace had a wide tiled portion that was about 6 inches off the floor and about 4' X 2'. I'd jump up on that and dance around for my family and friends.

When I was 10 I almost got my parents in trouble for writing a report on "What I did on my summer vacation". I said we spent the summer at a nudist camp . I wrote about how nice it was to not have to worry about bathing suits when going swimming, but we had to wear a lot of sun tan lotion. It was a total fabrication and a ploy to get more attention. I don't even know how I even knew that nudist camps even existed.

If it wan't for a low self esteem problem, I likely would have started dancing in my early 20's. I toyed with the idea for a few weeks, visiting clubs and chatting with dancers. But in the end my my lack of self confidence killed that idea. I finally took the plunge when I was 28.

I've always been into money. I grew up in a pretty poor family and I used to keep my money in a box and write down carefully every addition and subtraction, and even then I hated spending it and loved to save it.

I wasn't social or sexual at all, I didn't even have any friends, but in the seventh grade I got suspended for the rest of the school year and my dad was told to homeschool me the next year because I was flashing boys and letting them jack off while they looked at me naked for money. The next year while I was being homeschooled I wrote a report about feminism and sex work and how sex workers always had money and power in culture, even though they were disliked. I think I said something about the sacredness of the profane. The guy at the school district who read it and knew why I was being homeschooled told my dad he had to take me to a counselor LOL

I loved dressing up as a little girl. I have always loved lingerie and used to stare in awe at my parent's Victoria Secret catalogues. I have been flashing people ever since I can remember. I was a rather eccentric teenager.
