    Default Heeelllppppp!!!!!! ESP.Pamela!?!

I am SO close to pulling the last hair out of my head. Heres the deal: I am searching for an older song that was really popular when I was in school. I think it was either by Enigma or Enya and since you can't hear me hum... I do know that Krazie Bone used the begining of the song I'm looking for at the begining of his song "The world has too many freaks". Can you help me, PRETTY PLEASE. Thanks guys/girls!!!

It's not Enya, it's Art Of Noise--Moments In Love; but here's the thing: Freaks (the band you mentioned) was the ORIGINATOR of that song, Art of Noise stole it from them and made a whole song from it. At least, that's what my dj husband says...he says the Freaks song came out first. It's obviously been a controversy.
Anyway, you're looking for Art of Noise.

If so, they stole it VERY early in production. Art Of Noise's album was released in 2004, Play N Skillz's was released a year later.

^That can't be right. Art Of Noise's version is from the early-mid 80's. Even the Johnny Vicious version is older than 2004...'98 or so.

Mmkay, I looked it up to be sure. "(Who's Afraid Of) The Art Of Noise?" was released June 1st 1984. The 2004 release is a greatest hits album. I can't find the release date of the Freaks tune, but it wouldn't surprise me if Art Of Noise sampled it.

Hey, thanks guys, glad to have that settled. It was actually quite an argument in the house, because I thought it was Art of Noise in the 80s; and he thought it was the early 90s. Duh.

I beg to differ, this cd had Moments In Love , Close (To The Edit), and Beatbox (Diversion One) and it definitely came out in '84. I know this not only becuase of the facts I looked up online, but because the only guy I knew who was a Dj at that point used to use the "BOM BOM BOM....drum drum drum" from Beatbox all the time and mix it with Skinny Puppy and Cabaret Voltaire songs. He's still my hero. Yeah, I was 13. Holdon, I have the fuckin' LP here somewhere lemme go dig it up and solve this. :pause: Okay, it says copyright 85 for the album, and the little * says 84 for close to the edit and moments in love. There ya go.

Thank you Mr. Chris!! The 86' part didn't sound right to me but that's what it said on the internet. I wish I could have met the man that could mix that!! My cassette tape of that album was melted,eaten... who knows... somewhere along the way. Music could use a little more chainsaws today!!
