Default Should I buy an outfit and shoes?**UPDATE**pg 2

OK I posted in the newbie forum but I'm asking this question here because it seems to have the most traffic.

I am meeting with a club owner on Friday to tour the club and meet him in person. From there I'm going to set up a time to audition. OR he'll ask me to do Sunday ammiteur(sp?) night.

I'm only 19 and I never stripped before I also have a post baby body so I'm gunna need to reall WOAH him to get him to hire me.

Thing is do I go get an outfit and shoes? What happens if he doesnt like me? I cant try another club there ISNT any other clubs. This ones down the street from my college and the only remotely closer one is a trash hole.

    What do I do?

I'm a poor college student I cant afford to loose $200

$200 is more than enough to buy shoes and an outfit. And it'll look good to show up with your own gear and not have to ask others for stuff you might not like.

    Just my input!

Yes you should buy the outfit it would be good to have plus outfits are just fun treat yourself. Also about the trash hole club it might be worth looking at sometimes depening on what you mean by trash hole it could be a good place to get some experince dancing before moving to a big club. just my 2 cents.

    Comeo,

Thanks. I'm so broke with an 18 month old so its hard to justify spending money when its only for the audition...

If its for my son I dont bat an eye but if I dont get this job I wont need this stuff... There are NO other clubs for me to audition for.

I'd go with something inexpensive. You can get a cute set from places like Priscillas's or even from Victoria's Secret. As for the shoes, I'd go bargain basement with those as well. Once you get hired you can worry about getting a real pair.

Yeah, If you look you can find stuff. I found an adorable top and bottom set for 12 bucks the other day, and it looks great, and you wont have to get super delux stripperific shoes for an audition as long as they are sexy and presentable.

Oh crap I wrote a big reply and its gone. Erg... annoying.

OK... Well where should I shop? I live in the Boston area or I could order online...

Today is Monday. I'm going there to talk on Friday and soon after that will be my audition or he'll ask me to do ammeteur night. So basically I have less then a week.

I do own a pair of silver slides with about a 3" staleto(sp?)

    Or......

    how awsome would these be

I need this job. I have no other clubs to go to. There is really only 1 other club but it has a bad rep.

I have never danced before and I'm 19 but my body is kinda wack since I have an 18 month old. I think I'm sexy but I want this guy to think I'm sexy.... I breastfed for 18 months. My boobs are really... Umm lame? I like them... but will he? Will I make enough for it to be worth it?

I wish on Friday he just hires me on the spot. But I doubt it.... Erg I want this so badly. I want this club, I want to dance and I want money.

I do have some good things going for me. I'm a mom and a full time student so I'm reliable... Just from that he'll know I'm in it because I need it not just some unreliable drug addict who wont show up.

I'm also afraid they wont be able to work with my hours. I mean I am pretty flexable but the earliest I get out of school is 12pm.... The club opens at 11am.

Oh man sorry I'm ranting I just want/need this so badly.

Spend money on clear plastic stripper shoes (with stabilizing straps around the ankle), and just wear a string bikini (best) or matching bra + panty set.

Don't go all fancy-ass with your shoes or outfit. He knows you're an amateur; trying to hide it with your clothing just looks like a kid playing dressup. The shoes add to the sripper look though, and will show him you're ready to go.

    Good luck!

If you do have Pricilla's stoes in your area, at least the ones in my area are having a shoe sale with shoes for $19.99.

Also, what size shoes do you wear?

damn, I have a pair of shoe that are too small for me (I wear an 8 ) that I could have sent ya for nothing. They are just taking up space in my closet.

As far as dirtyness, I say at least go check it out. You have nothing to lose by doing that.

    Thank you.

You guys are all so nice and helpfull..... And I'm *ass*uming your all beautiful too... What a package! HAHA

OK well I'm gunng try and get some more info (from the girl) and I think I will just invest in the clear shoes and there *is* a high class place an hour+ away and the girl said (who now works there) you can just show up for ammeteur(sp?) nights and get good cash.

I was reading the review and the place sounds amazing (Squires in Revere MA) except I'm not that pretty so half my earning will go to the club..... And I dont expect to make megas workin ya know?

.... So I'm just crossin my fingers for Friday and hope it goes well. I put StripTease on my netflix so I can pick up a thing or two.

I'll have to order some shoes tonight.

Hey there & welcome. I'm wondering if you have visited many strip clubs before? If you're looking to pick up some moves, my suggestion to you would be to visit real clubs and check out what the girls do there (like maybe some other clubs besides the one you're interested in). Movie depictions of strip clubs have some, well . . . accuracy issues. Why not check out the real thing and have some fun while you're at it? Get a sitter for a few hours, go with a friend or two, make a night of it!

(But whatever you do, do not, I repeat, NOT watch "Showgirls" for pointers. I promise you, licking the pole is a bad, baaaaad idea.)

Sometimes the rep is BS. It is worth a shot to try out both clubs in your town before you start driving an hour to work.

You can - lots of girls do, with some sales skills. Read Hustle Hut for info. Also start working out. It will only help your situation.

I wish on Friday he just hires me on the spot. But I doubt it.... Erg I want this so badly. I want this club, I want to dance and I want money.
Don't stress so much. It's not that big a deal once you get past the first time. And, we all want money

I do have some good things going for me. I'm a mom and a full time student so I'm reliable... Just from that he'll know I'm in it because I need it not just some unreliable drug addict who wont show up.
Don't tell him these things. You will make yourself sound desperate, naive and like a snooty bitch stereotyping strippers as drug addicts. Just tell him you really want to dance and make money, and leave it at that. If you don't get hired at the first club, try another. Someone WILL hire you, but please don't say things that make you seem desperate. There are lots of people in this biz who love to take advantage of desperation.

I'm also afraid they wont be able to work with my hours. I mean I am pretty flexable but the earliest I get out of school is 12pm.... The club opens at 11am.
Tell him you're in school, and hell, take a copy of your official class schedule with you to show him. If he's going to hire you, they will work with your hours. You could work dayshift after school, afternoon/evening (mid) shift, or nights. It is so rare for strippers to actually show up for work when the club opens, it's almost a surprise when they do

Oh man sorry I'm ranting I just want/need this so badly.
No worries. Just, like I said, don't tell this manager that. Some managers will try to take advantage of girls who appear too desperate

This is a tough business hun. Keep your head on and good luck.

I would just buy shoes and wear something you already have. Depending on the club, almost anything can be turned into stripper gear these days.

I like the hair alot. I'd probably go with the red dress if those were my choices. But I'm sure you'll do great no matter what. Good luck!

Everyone can sense confidence....so if you feel like..."oh my gosh i hope he likes my tits...I hope they're not too saggy etc etc...i hope he thinks im hot" confidence goes far....you'd be surprised....and remember you're always your own worst critic good luck...hows the shoe/outift search coming along???
