Money Makes Me Horny

I put on lashes almost every single day....the more you do it- the easier it gets. (But there are days I have to do them over- so you should be dedicated!)![]()
I feel alot less 'glam' without mine- so they are a must!
When I'm budgeting I buy Ardell (Target/Walgreens/probably at every drugstore/Sally's Beauty)...it costa about 3 or 4 bucks. They last me about a week- sometimes more.
I have also worn MAC's lashes...they are GREAT! Look here at the selection. Now I'm wanting to buy MAC again. Thanks alot Windy!!![]()
I would say the best hands down is Shu Uemura- but it costs a bit more. (Their lashes got really popular after J.lo wore a pair of mink ones to some awards show and everyone was talking about it.) Link
If you have trouble putting them on- you can use this...a lash placement kit
I bought one on ebay for a few dollars.

Wow PleaseVictim, does that lash placer thing work really well??? If that thing works good I would LOVE one, it sounds fabulous, I hate putting eyelashes on, I usually try to make someone else do it for me :-)

I'm a biased MAC whore so for me it is MAC.
Seraya.
Shu Uemura all the way! They last longer than drugstore ones too (though the Adell ones are perfectly fine for 'disposables'). MAC is in a very close second place, though. When in doubt, go for what the drag queens use, that's my motto in most matters.

I like half strip lashes, a bunch of different brands make 'em, I happen to use NYC 'cause they're cheap. Under $2 for two pair. They're easy to apply and give my eyes just the right amount of "omph".
Whatever brand you decide to use, here's a couple of tips I've learned to make it a little easier:
1. Line your eyes, curl your lashes and apply mascara before your lashes.
2. Use a clear lash glue. I'm sensitive to formaldahyde (eyes look like I've done a few rounds with Mike Tyson after using it) so I use Shu Uemura's lash glue. They all go on white but dry clear. Also, you don't need a ton of lash glue, a little goes a long way.
3. Cut them down to fit the length of you lids
4. warm the band of the lashes for a few seconds with your hairdryer to make it more flexible and follows the contour of your eye easily
5. use tweezers to apply your lashes

I have to say I love the lash placers! They come in kits at the drugstore/makeup aisle too. Makes it so much easier to apply them.

use elmers glue, i'm not joking....it works the best and it's non-toxic, cheap, and dries clear....

Personally i think the BEST glue ever is DUO.

Brand doesn't matter to me. They are all made in Asia. I go to the black beauty supply stores which are mostly Asian run to get mine. In LA, Dallas, and Houston they are .99 or $1.00 a pack. I wear #15, #20, and #66, and when I am in those cities snatch up about $100 worth to last me a long time. In other cities those same lashes cost about $2.
In 6 days a week I probably use 3 pair, which is only $ 3 a week. I put them on with hair bonding glue ( the kind used for hair weaves) which the black beauty supply stores all sell for .99 a small bottle. It holds well , and peels right off when taking the lashes off.
I have bought MAC lashes before, but at $6 a pair, they don't seem to last any longer than the other kind.
I have mostly used NYC in the past because they are cheap and I'm bad about losing them. I bought a pair of ardell recently though ($4) and they have lasted 4 nights so far... and without popping up or wiggling around (my eyelids get very sweaty). Perhaps I shall have to switch brands.
All about my boobs...

I LOVE Shu Uemura lashes. They have so many fancy, fun lashes. They are actually coming out with the faux mink lashes later this year for us animal lovers. Shu is pricey but worth it if you REALLY want to impress. Other than that I stick with the cheapies from Walgreens. They look just as good as MAC, IMO, but don't seem to last as long. That's okay though because I only use once or twice before I toss them in the trash.

I agree with Tina and Mia M. I like the demi-half lashes, and I aslo like the cheap ones as well. Shu, MAC- etc- they all come from about 5 factories in china and Indonesia. In fact, the same companies make the same lashes for Shu and MAC and a Japanese cheapie brand (the Japanese version of Ardell) that sells for @ a buck a piece there- so I don't believe that cheap lashes are more inferior. I purchase lashes based on style, not based on brand.

Aside from the designer lashes My fave drug store lashes are Elite-they come in a cream colored box. theyre 3 bucks a pair and they last for many wears. i had a pair that i used for a over month until l lost them. they maintain thier shape-i love them!
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.
If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

I still want to try the Shu lashes...
Metal- using the lash placer makes it a bit easier. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I have to do it over. I wear so much shimmer on my eyelids even if it is a little 'off' you can't really tell. I had a harder time using my right hand to put the lashes on my left eye- it was in the way of the mirror.
Seraya- when I lived in NY I'd put falsies on most days- even just to go hanging out. Now I live in crappyboringtown I just wear them to work.
