    Default Colonics (again)

    Hi everyone,
After reading that colonics thread a few weeks ago I got very interested in getting some of the products mentioned. Particularly the Dr. Natura one.
As some of you know, I work in finance and specialize in consulting for medical practices. One of my recent clients is a very well respected homeopathic physician. I e-mailed a link and asked his opinion.
For those who have bought the product and have been using it with results- great- I'm putting this response here for those who were thinking about it. I'm not putting this here to start a debate. It's simply the opinion of someone I along with many patients in NY trust.

"What do you want me to say. It all looks very drastic to me. Not often one excretes those peculiar shapes. Not in my doctor's life. Are they created by the material the patient takes in? Probably. A lot of talk and 300000 American satisfied clients. If ever one wants to use that stuff, shouldn't they ask themselves what the hell is in this product. I couldn't find, researching all the pages involved in this commercial hype. A normal colonic irrigation is good for people with no good digestive system. But one has to realize that not only the bad stuff comes out of the colon, also the good stuff. This needs to be replenished as soon one can after the treatment. Acidophilus is one of those necessary material which are essential for the bowel flora. One should not have colonics or colonic cleansing all the time. perhaps twice yearly. The body otherwise will become weak, due to not having the ability to get energy out of the food one eats. There are so many treatments available. No treatment should be drastic. That is not how the body works.
Dr Heather Johnston, a holistic nurse practitioner(?), promotes this product. She doesn't tell us what is in the product. How can people be so stupid to take things when they don't know what they are taking in. Must we believe Johnston, Hardy, Fauszt(?) and Swilling? Who are these people and who are the satisfied customers? One of them didn't get enough stuff out of her guts, so she took a double dose till all the aliens came back again out of her bottom. It all looks like an April joke, but then we are in America, and people put their believe in treatments with instant results. Should one not ask first
what this treatment does to the body?
Parasites (what parasites?) and toxins (what toxins?). Why should the toxins and the parasites come out in such peculiar shapes? Or why should they attach themselves to these excretions?
Anyway, DrNatura Colonix Toxinout Endorsements and Awards(?) is for me one of those money making organizations like the so called physician with horse and carriage visiting the golmine villages with his elixers. Nothing has change.
People with bowel problem have to be careful anyway with laxatives. If the body get used to it, there will be no natural undulation of the bowels taking place. Yes, then you will get problems.
There are good and bad bacteries in the bowels. This so-called "Colonic Program" doesn' make difference between good and bad bacteries. Just like antibiotics can't tell the difference between friendly and unfriendly bacteria.
Some of the people write that they are addicted to the website and to Colonix. Yes, great! That convinces me to take Colonix! But if your friend is convinced that this is a good treatment, so be it. There are so many different treatments to clean the colon. Why this one? But there you are. Instant results. One can say that all this internet writing about Colonix is crap.
People do what they want to do, even if everyone thinks they do the wrong thing. In this case I can not even say if it is good or not. There are facts to work with. If you want to help people and they don't want to listen to your advice, so be it.
A friend of mine had a cat which walked into the sea and nearly drowned. The firend brought the cat back to the house. Gave it milk and tender loving care, and it looked that the cat was saved. Next morning the cat was floating upside down in the sea, and probably drowned during the night. People also have to make up their own mind. Let them do what they want to do. And you, stay out of it. If your friend will have a bad experience and you encouraged her to take "Colonix(?), you will be blamed. That is what people do.
So good luck and good night.
Take care of yourself. You anyway question always a lot of things that arrive on websites or in articles in magazines, before you think you can judge them. So i don't worry about you. Your friend concerns me.
    Lovingly,
    Johann.

    PS.
I just see here that DrNatura.com is the most visited website with colon cleansing. Well, that convinces me that Colonix must be a good product! (?)
If your friend wants to start cleaning her colon etc, she can always start with blackstrap molasses and see what happens. Let her take it easy before she gets into irreversible problems.
    Bye,
    J."

I haven't trusted that site since I saw all those pictures of people pulling thier deformed turds out of the toiliet and spreading them out around the bowl. Come on! No one would do that. The whole site screams snake-oil salesman to me.
