Argh, I just need to vent my anger somehow.... I've just had the flue and was sick and in bed for two weeks, I come back to work on a Saturday night and...
... it was horrible! The first dance was for some Polish guy who claimed that he would buy more dances if I was good... then kept interrupting my dance to talk to me in Polish and was trying to TELL me how to dance. Then COMPLAINED that I was "shy". The customers seemed to be all dickheads, no one wanted dances from me and every 2nd person I talked to said the same old generic "I'm not like all the other guys here... I'm not just here to degrade you by buying a dance from you... I want to take you out for dinner instead" or "Why do you do this? You're beautiful - you're not going to make any money here. Why don't you do something that you actually enjoy doing? Listen, how about I take care of you and take you out..." etc. How the HELL does one club get such a dense concentration of this type of morons at once!? I spent a moderate amount of time on TRYING to get dances (I looked and acted like I always do - I think). Taking breaks to read some Asimov book. In the end I made about 1/10th of what I usually make on a Saturday (no exaggeration). They joys! Needless to say, I was fairly angry...
Sunday and monday had a much better atmosphere and everything was back to "normal" by Wednesday.
Until Thursday... when I realised that I can't have the dress I want because someone else already has a similar one (a copy of my one, btw). Appearantly 5 girls are allowed to own the exact same BLACK dress, but only 1 girl is allowed to have a "shiny" red dress (hers is short and shimmery and my one has glitter things and I have a short and a long one). Management is fine with it and told me to ignore the girls or ask them to have a talk with the management if they annoy me, the girl who has it says that she wants me to wear it when she's not working... and this other random girl who keeps giving me grease offs and otherwise always ignored me seemed almost hysterical when she saw me in it - I don't know what's HER problem and why she would care. Then came the "female customers". The first one was okay - she came with her bf and I think she was bi. The second ones came in a group with some guys and were extremely annoying and commented that my hair "does but doesn't" look real (I wear really long extensions at work) and weren't really nice... the guy wanted a dance so I gave him one and made minimal conversation about how I'm studying for the CCIE. I resumed my quest for $$. Everything was normal and happy until... *gasp* some group of female customers! First they went on about how "beautiful" I am, etc. and then they said they will have a dance... they ended up having a dance with some other chick and then they called me again and said they want a dance from me... so I take them to the dance area and they tell me they don't have money but they can "have a chat". WTF? Talking to me COSTS MONEY. I told them I had to make a phone call, went to change rooms, called my mother to pick me up, and left.
Since then I've been thinking so much about everything and haven't slept (it's Saturday now :S) so excuse my semi-coherent rabling.
I'm sort of thinking about moving to another club now so I can wear whatever I want without the girls bitching about it. It's only a few girls but it's enough to annoy meThe other club I work at doesn't seem to have that problem (but there's less $$ there).

It won't kill you and open you to learn more about the Melbourne SC scene (which can only be helpful here since I am now moving into the private party stripping and not working in the SCs anymore).
I feel better now having "talked" about it. Things are getting better where I work (this Saturday was pretty good) and apart from being awfully quiet, I had fun talking to all the girls in the change rooms, lol.
