    Default x-small dancer clothing

Does anyone know where I can find some x-small sized gowns and other clothing? I have such a problem finding anything that fits (especially gowns)... I have gotten things custom made but it takes too long or costs way too much.

    Any suggestions?

I am very sorry, you are going thru this! Have you tried shoppin around for a good seamtress? Try making a deal with him/her! You will buy so many dress if they give you a certain % off! Before I got my implants I use to have the same promblem. Nothing will fit just right! For every client you seen her You get a $ off your dress. Good luck!

I am very petitite. I end up just getting Junior clothing and not bothering with women's sizes. (It's cheaper too.)

Have you just thought about buying the smallest sizes in dancer clothes and taking them to a seamstress to have them altered?

Unfortunately, due to your special requirements (and I have some as well so I can empathise to a certain extent) you will need to find a good costumer and/or seamstress. Try a few as they are not all the same ... and sometimes it pays to pay that little bit more as the quality will be seen (the outfit will last thru lots of wear etc).

My best advice is to buy outfits in the smallest size available (also check out junior or even children's sizes if available) and find yourself a good seamstress to perform any needed alterations. I've been lucky to find a great seamstress to do all my alterations at the corset maker where I've been getting custom bras made for me.

I'm just happy that most size 5 shoes fit me or I'd have a real problem trying to find heels in the children's section.

Thanks for all the advice. I had worked with seamstresses before and wind up never getting things on the date stated or something always went wrong. I was hoping that somewhere out in the world there was a place where the smaller dancers could get their clothing. I swim in gowns and hate when a place requires them
