Dexter. Twisted new showtime hourlong show... You can watch the first episode now... If you can, it's really twisted!

Gosh, I thought Michael C. Hall would be worried about getting pigeonholed as a quirky actor....first a Buttsecks-Wild Mortician on "Six Feet Under", now a killer?
He has one sexy voice, though. Maybe he'll be so sexy, it's fatal.

Apparently he's a serial killer with a very limited scope of victims. He appears to prey on other serial killers. I'm about halfway through it. The opening sequence is out there, Maxie. OUT there!

Heh. They should lock Dexter in a room with that lady from East Saint Louis who killed that mother & all 4 of her kids. I hope he'd bitchslap her with a meathook.

Anyway...I gotta hit the sack, & no psycho stuff before bed. (Sadly, no psycho stuff will be happening IN bed. Awww.)

Wow - this is right up there in quality as HBO's "Rome" series. It offers many interesting dilemma's to think about.

    I totally missed Rome. Grrr...

I've been watching Dexter religiously since episode 1. It's just CRAZY! I;m gonna buy the book "Darkly dreaming Dexter" once i'm sure it won't spoil any surprises (of which there are many on this show).

What i'm wondering, though, is how the hell the ITK knew all that shit about Dexter's past, remember when he was leaving a trail of that security guy's body parts all over spots where Dex had important stuff happen to him. I'm wondering if he's not his biological brother or something, remember he was found at a murder scene!

Incidentally, the whole "spill it to the shrink" scene at the end of the last episode was my favorite moment on the show so far bar none! I can't believe something like that would have me laughing, but i was dying! When he waves at the camera "Hi there." Hall is a fantastic actor!

Madcap, did you see the episode when Dex finds the barbie doll in his fridge? ITK looked thru Dex's photo albums and then created crime scenes based on the childhood photos.

I liked when after the shrink session, he runs to his girlfriend's house and bones her right then & there at the door--its about friggin' time they did the deed, sheesh.

I don't have Showtime, but, as a brief threadjack, "Rome" comes back on in January. There are posters everywhere in Philly for it.

I've caught "Rome" also, it's really good. Have you watched "Weeds"? It's pretty good.
Dexter as a character is just great and Michael C Hall is just great in the role.
