    Exersize FTW

    I just have to brag! I've lost five pounds this month! I'm eating whatever I want, I'm just exersizing! Yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays, Tae Kwan Do Mondays and Wednesdays, and I've been practicing on my pole randomly throughout the week! I'm so much stronger and flexible and I feel GREAT!

    Awesome! I've cut back on a bunch of the "crap" food I normally eat, but I'm telling myself no if I really want ice cream or something. I just started up with pilates and some random cardio stuff...we'll see how that goes.

    That's exactly what I do, I don't diet really,I just cut out the crap food for the most part. buy the same stuff I always buy, but just get the non fat or low fat stuff instead of regular(it all tastes the same to me). And I do some random cardio and some pilates and kick boxing every now and then. Works great!! Keep it up!

    Sorry to butt in, but this is a thing of mine. The non-fat and low-fat stuff isn't necessarily low calorie, which is what makes all the difference in the end. Low fat simply means a product contains 3g of fat or less per serving, and comprises 30% or less of total calories. A lot of companies pack in extra sugar to make up for the lack of fat (enter excess calories). I've always found that it's better to go low-sugar or no-sugar. Sugar substitutes are easier to find than fat substitutes.

    One of the big things that pisses me off about food labelling is the amount of wiggle room that companies are given and the way they mislead consumers. Especially the term "reduced fat." It just means that at least 25% less fat than the original version, which, in high-fat foods, means nothing. Then they go ahead and make up for that dip in fat with sugar. ARG!!!
