    Default Makeup for pink hair

I need some help. I dyed my hair and my old makeup just doesn't look quite right. Is there anyone out there that can give me some tips? Or possibly some pictures? I'm most comfy with MAC products. I want my makeup to pop and ring out my hair more.

My hair's kinda like this, but a bit more purpley. I foiled it, then dyed it, so my brunette parts look purpley and the bleached parts are the real color, kinda like this...

If it helps, I'm pale, like the picture, and I have dark brown eyes. (Sorry I can't post one of me right now... my camera's being sucky)

Try doing your eye makeup all in shades of brown, with a brownish blush, and either a glossy nude lipstick or a lipstick that matches your hair color. With such loud hair, you want your makeup to be muted, or it's overkill.

Yea, that's exactly what I was thinking. Pink is such a loud, vibrant color. Continue to make/keep that the focus point. Keep your makeup soft and natural. I'd stick to browns, nudes, shimmery bronze stuff

    Three suggestions...

    1. Like Yek said, nude eyes, nude cheeks, and a super glossy hot pink lip. The only thing I'd add to that is black liquid liner on the upper lip... Think cyber Audrey Hepburn.

    2. Nude eyes with LOTS of mascara (add false lashes top and bottom for a more intense look) nude lips with just a dab of very sheer, glossy, shimmery pink lipgloss on the center of the lips, and sheer yet vibrant pink cheek... Think a day spent on the ski slopes meets Twiggy.

    3. I want to go to MAC and slap that canary yellow shadow on you with a deep burgandy to contour... I don't know why, I just think it'll look really hot! With tons of choclate brown liner smudged on your upper and lower lashline. Nude cheeks and pink stained lips... Ooooh, I'd have fun with you!

You know, I think having vibrant colors are kinda cool with loud haircolors. Lime green and also vibrant oranges can look absolutely HOT with pink hair, IMHO. Same goes for bright blues and purples. Dark-rimmed, smokey eyes also look really sexy. When Gwen Stefani has hot pink hair and matching lipstick (hot pink and black shadow), I thought she looked amazing.

I think nudes and browns are also nice, but when I've had bright haircolor, I think of it as a reason to go wild with my makeup.

If you want to keep makeup colors simple, I think smokey eyes and nude lips look hot. Pink hair looks great with grey and silvers, too. Keep that in mind.

Pink hair is punk, so rather than try to tone down the punk look with nude make-up, I'd stick to the theme. I'd wear dark black smokey eyes, and plenty of dark eyeshadow at night, with glossy lips.

I'm with Zabrina; I would NOT tone down the makeup. It just seems kinda missing the point with such wild hair. I would punk/glam it up.

Black eyeliner, big black false lashes, and super glossy lips. Maybe some super glimmery silver eyeshadow, or a really glimmery pink to match the hair. And maybe some glitter colors on the eyes. I have some pink glitter liquid liner that I would looooove to try with that hair!! Also got a purple glitter stick for eyes from Nars that I think would look hot with that hair. OMG you almost make me wanna pink my hair!

I loved having medium hot pink hair. It's too much work to bleach and dye, though.

I think MAC's new Softwash Gray pigment would make a great smokey eye for you. I'm envisioning it on the lid and as the lower liner. Black liner on top and on the lower inner rim. Maybe a charcoal or grape in the crease.

Black liquid eyeliner. Line your eyebrows thinly with black or brown/black brow liner. No eyeshadow. Light shimmery gloss or clear shimmery gloss on lips.

Either the super smokey black eyes, or purple or orange bright bright eyeshadow (or both at the same time!)

I like using my lipstick (I use I think diamonds line of loreal...not sure) as a touch of glitter and pink tint on my eye lids...so you might try that after applying whatever you decide on.

I wish my cam was working... I would post some tutorials (i'm a make up artist)

I think that dramatic eyes (lots of lash!) and pinky nude lips would look great, with a few different pink colored blusher's (I don't like to use just one color blush, at least 2 colors to add dimension to the face). I would also lighten my eyebrows if i was you! A purple smokey eye would look great too. Defo play up the eyes though. Go on line and look up pictures of PINK (the music artist) she would be a great example.

You can find great looks here! www.specktra.net (another one of my addiction's apart from SW)

Ps. LSM I really like MAC's soft grey wash too and also their Dark Soul pigment

    Hey Seraya,

I'm also a (semi-retired) makeup artist too! Do you do print work, etc? I used to do print, but it's too hard to make money consistently. Now that I have a mortgage, I need slightly more stable income. I have my regular job and when I do have time, I work with a few ppl I've kept in touch with, but it's mostly really local stuff.

Bridgitte, that pic is awesome! I love Pink tho- I like kick-ass chicks like her. She doesn't give a fuck. Neither does Christina. Love 'em both for their attitude.

Gwen had a similar look once with her bright pink hair. Her lips and eyes matched her hair- She had bright pink shadow along with lots of black, smokey liner and shadow as well.

I think all kinds of hot and wild colors look good with pink hair. Another recent look I saw was bright yellow and lime green combo eyes with baby pink cheeks and fruity pinky-orange mango gloss.

    Too cute.
