Default Pension Shortfall Costs, both Public and Private

I know this has been discussed here before, but it seems the bill is coming due much earlier than expected. Personally, I believe this to be a good thing, as it will be pretty difficult to "backpedal" on this one.

Anyway, I was looking up "California Pension Shortfall Costs" in a couple of search engines. Here are three of the most interesting links provided by the engines

another cog in the ever increasing 'public sector' economy ... which has the authority to subsidize its costs by taxing both private sector and public sector employees. As far as the 'revolt' by private sector voters who see themselves still working at age 70 while their neighbor retires at 50 with a fat public sector pension that the author speaks of, it's not going to happen ... because public sector employees plus recipients of gov't checks already do or soon will outnumber private sector voters in the states with the worst 'public sector' pension obligations problems.

Yet another reason to avoid private sector jobs working in corporate america. It's much better to work as a contractor and manage your own benefits.
