I just wanted to share my story about what happened to my rook piercing for anyone considering them. From my experience cartilage piercings tend to have a higher rejection rate. The last week my rook had started to migrate out of my ear. At first I thought I could stop this process by a more thorough cleaning process. Well yesterday i woke up and went to check if it was still migrating. I barely pulled on it and the piercing literally ripped out! This is my second rejection(my first was my tragus but I took it out before it could do this). Has anyone else had a similar experience and with what piercing?

Damnit.

. I have noticed that over time, the skin flap over the hole is getting smaller and smaller as it veeeeerrrryy slowly rejects--Or perhaps gets pulled by all the heavier jewelry, the times its been tugged on my pants or when it's been accidentally yanked during sex or a lapdance. It does seem that one day, it just won't be there anymore----but it's happening at a snails pace. 10 years down, I think it will be 5 more years before it just dissapears.
