Saturday and Sunday I had some more lessons at the club I hope to work at, Saturday was out first day of pole tricks. I didn't do too badly, but I am not very strong from the waist up, feeble arms. I had a few bruises on my knees at the end of the session, nothing I wasn't prepared for. Sunday, however, because I was already tired from the day before I REALLY hurt myself, several times. I seriously look like I've been beaten with the pole, rather than like I've been dancing around it!I'm a bit worried about my ankle too - it's very swollen, and a bit green (I banged it quite hard).
I've got one more lesson on Sunday, and then I will probably audition straight after, if our teacher thinks I'm ready; she only made us book one extra lesson so I guess she thinks we will be. Argh!...quite scary. I've got a really awful cold/flu now though, and I hope it doesn't fluff everything up! I hardly think the 'bunged up' look is very sexy, lol. I've got to get my dress made too. I've got to get a "evening gown" to wear before midnight, and that is just so insane! The dress-maker got me to try on an "gown" that apart from having only the tiniest piece of material that went all the way to the floor, it was totally see-through! This industry does make me laugh. In a club where you're only ever 3 minutes from the dress being taken off, why is it see-through? Mine's not gonna be, that's for sure! I’m thinking a muted gold colour, and a cerise or magenta for a shorter dress.
It was really fun when I went on Friday to see the club in action, so to speak, and I loved it! While we were there, the management just declared free champagne for everyone, customers, dancers, waitresses and bouncers, it had such a happy atmosphere, I can’t wait to work! We chatted with a few girls and they all seemed really nice, there was one girl throwing a major tantrum, but as far as I could understand, rightly so.
Oooh, question. The house fee has just gone down from £80 to £20, but they take more commission on your dances...I think it’s £8 they take, from £20 leaving you with £12 - is this normal? I don’t know about ‘sit downs’ they’re £250 for an hour, but I don’t know about commission with regards to them. Is it normally deducted from?
Well, I better go do some push-up, urgh - I just want to sleep!![]()
