Default any cheaper way to deal with milia?

I've got milia bumps on my forehead, some on my cheeks, and some on my eyebags. Does exfoliating get rid of them or is it pretty much to the dermatologist I go? how expensive is that?

    also,
this link has recommended face washes and exfoliants, but they're all pretty expensive, at around $35 each. Any cheaper choices?

smartskincare.com has some good advice though I do it my own way because it's faster and I'm impatient.

I take the quick and easy route, but not the healthiest- I stick a needle in it, and squeez. It never comes out at that time. It'll be red for about 3 days, and then I do it again, this time the openeing at the top is big enough to allow me to squeeze the hard protien out.

Usually thats it, and it's gone forever, but I've had two spots where I had to do that a few times because it came back. One of those two spots left a tiny scar- looks like a large pore, but is the only hole in that area. Not bad, and it doesn't bother me at all.

Get yourself a decent lance. Make sure to stereilize after each use. Just lance with the lightest touch and use a clean needle to get the milia out of your skin. Don't jab at the cut- just use the needle to coax the milia out, not cause more trauma. That's how my derm does it, no special technique.

You can prevent them by using skin peels frequently. I like using 30% lactic and glycolic every 5 days or so. I do give my skin a break from peels every other month (peel for 2 months, don't peel for a month).

^^ yeah, I've wanted that exact thing (through ebay too!) for about 8 months now, but haven't gotten it. I went after them last night after cleansing my face...and maybe they're not milia--a lot of them were able to be squeezed like zits and came out. There are two definite milia, though, underneath my eye-- but they're so tiny...not sure I could do the lancing thing-- but I will get around to that.

KittenKat-- which peel product do you use that has that much glycolic acid in it? Sephora had some glycolic pads (listed on the site in my original post) for $35 that contain ten percent. How much is yours?

Son of a BITCH! I've been wondering what the hell took up residence on my forehead. I have milia. I always had perfect skin, even in my teen years. Figures that it would hit me now.

30% glycolic and 30% lactic. I alternate. I buy my peel off of my esthetician. It's strong, but isn't too harsh because it's ever-so-slightly buffered, which tones down the possible irritation.
