    Default first night!

well i got the job and started at mens gallery last night, first night ever and i was oh so nervous. the girls were all really lovely and made it really easy for me. but i was just wondering if it is going to get easier as i found my first private dance really daunting and i found myself repeating the same moves over and over, i cant imagine how the guy didnt notice. does anyone know where i would learn some different moves, or just any general pointers on dancing as i feel like i have no idea what i am doing.

also, i only made $90 for the night, while it was my only first night and i had no house fee to pay, am i likely to make more than that as if i dont, next time i will have to pay the $50 house fee and that means i will only be taking home $40 for an 8 hour shift. lol i can earn more at subway, can i expect to make more than that?

    thanks for any help

I made 40 pounds my first night, and 700 my second. If that helps!

Congrats on making it through your first shift, Tulsagirl.

Just out of curiosity, it isn't the Men's Gallery in Melbourne, VIC you're talking about is it? Because that's one of the places I've got my sights set on working. What was the application process like? Are they picky? Sorry for all the questions!

    Thanks

Eevee, yeah it was the melbourne one and i got the job so they cant be too picky! but seriously, the managment there are so nice and it was not difficult to get work there at all.
Application was pretty simple, just the normal stuff really.

Yay! I work at the Melbourne one
The management is great, they're not too "picky", you don't audition they just want to see what you look like in lingerie
On your first night you're always "unsure" when you are dancing - (my first ever dance was really awkward... I got payed $200! LOL).
At men's gallery the more you work and stay up there, the more $$ you'll get. You should usually try to work towards $400-$500/night and on weekends or "good" days you could probably walk out with $700+.

    Well lets see....

Tuesday was my first shift... After paying a $30 house fee I went home with $55....damn.

This afternoon (Friday) was my second shift. I set a goal of $100 and I made like $110 after a $50 house fee.

Another girl (only 18 years old...) made over 900+ her first 2 nights combined and last night (her third shift) she had to have made at least $500

She doesnt need to try she has it naturally. I have things she does... I am young but I am mature and a clasic beauty. She on the other hand is young (and doesnt have a kid) so shes full of energy.

My point is.... you and I are starting off the same. This girl is having an easier time. Does this mean shes better? No... it just means we have to try a little harder, set goals and do babysteps.

If we made as much as the girls who been there for 5 years then well.... the girls who been there for 5 years wouldnt have to try AT ALL to try and make money you know? We're knew and were expected to take things slow.

    Good luck.

i can totally relate to the less than amazing earnings, i started at mens gallery melbourne last week. however i got some awesome advice from one of the compares, to treat the first four weeks as training, just to sit back and learn, not to worry too much about how much you make; treat anything you make above house fees as a bonus. i know its a bit 'well what about paying my rent' but it does get better, on my first night i made like $90 and i thought 'i could earn more at mcdonalds and i could leave my pants on' but on the saturday night i worked i earnt over $250 and honestly probably could have earnt more if i werent so freaking nervous.

so my question is does it get easier to approach people and bring up the question of private dances. i just feel really pushy and self-conscious about asking people to pay to see me naked... any suggetions? i'm pretty sure i'm the youngest one at my club and as such feel like im a little behind the eight ball and dont want to bug everyone at my club, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

collegegirl - best of luck, the advice from a fellow newbie is stick with it :-)

when i was new, i had no idea what to do in a lapdance so i just sorta stood in front of the guy and shook my ass (and other boring things). most guys would never buy more than one dance because i sucked so bad. i think i earned an average of $100 a day for like the first month. a few times i went home with pathetic numbers like $50. i don't think my lack of earnings was JUST because i sucked at dancing and didn't have moves, it was because i didn't approach guys either. so i think the real trick to making money as a stripper is approaching guys, being friendly, and making them feel special.

i could tell you some lapdance moves if i knew how much contact was allowed at your club. at my club, you can lay naked all over the guy but he can't touch your boobs/butt/privates. at some clubs you have to keep a certain distance between you and the guy. anyway, i do all kinds of stuff to turn the guy on that are not necessarily "moves"... like blow lightly in their ear, or breathe on their neck, or whisper a compliment to them (like if the guy has nice hair, run your fingers through it and tell him his hair is soft, for example). make sure its a sincere compliment though. i will sit in a guys lap with my back against his chest, then i will lean back and rest my head on his shoulder and look up at him and play with my nipples. i have learned how to do all kinds of little sexy things that don't require dancing skills or whatever.

"asking people to pay to see you naked"... hahaha... well that's essentially what it is, but there are good lines to use if you're asking for a dance. i'm usually like "hey, mind if i drag you off? we'll have fun" and take their hand. of course you spend a couple minutes introducing yourself and bullshitting/smalltalk first. blah blah blah. you'll probably end up saying the same things to guys over and over again all night.

anyway i've been dancing for about 6 months and have watched my earnings triple as i got better at it. in the beginning i said the same thing, "i could make more at mcdonalds!" but it gets a lot better if you stick with it.

    Re: first night!

well tonight was my third night at mg and i only lasted three hours
not sure if it was just because i was tired or if im not cut out for the industry, decided it was better to go home than to make a rash decision and quit...best to sleep on it and then make a rash decision

apart from the random crying tonight was ok, all the girls are really sweet and go out of their way to make it easier for us new girls. if anyone from melbourne mens gallery is reading this thankyou!

noctina i would love to hear of any tricks you have that i could possibly use to allow me to take some many home rather than just covering house fees! mens gallery is also no contact and while we are allowed to sit on their knees we must keep our breasts ten centimetres from the customers and thirty centimetres from either ours or the customers groins... confusing at times, i am so bad with guesstimating distances...the only contact allowed is, if we want them to, we can take their hands and place them on our hips, so long as our hands are over the top of theirs... but basically no contact... at the moment i think i am just shaking my ass in their faces, however i am yet to have complaints, so maybe they enjoy it,, or im just getting the guys with anal fetishes... not sure, but any suggestions would be much appreciated

thanks and best of luck to all of you!
