    Default The worst customer service ever!!!!!!

    Ok so I basicly received the worst customer service ever. It left me in tears after, and that may sound dumb, but it was that bad. It was for 24 hour fitness. What do you think I should do? Take down names and call the headquarters? Pout? Give them the evil eye every time I see them?

    were you trying to cancel?

    If so, that might be part of the reason they were asses....and might not help with the higher ups since they train the CS to be that way.

    In what way was it bad CS? I have them but dont do anything else besides show up and workout. I dont use any other services from them b/c they push to hard.

    Nope, not cancel, trying to switch accounts to pay the 140 sign up fee. It has been charged twice to the wrong account, landing me with over 50 dollars in fees, after being told 4 times it would be charged to the correct account. The manager basicly said "stop lying, no one ever told you that" after her herself said it a few days ago.

    Take names down and call and complain. Charging you twice and giving you fees that you pay out of your own pocket imo they need to pay back if they havent already.

    Yup. They agreed to pay 20 out of the 50, as she insists I'm lying and no one ever told me this, and she's doing me a favour paying the 20.


    I'm just shocked at the point blank rudeness. I was calm and polite, and they were defensive and rude from the beginning. I don't get it.

    Fuck $20 I'd try to get the whole $50 back. She thinks she is placating with that $20. I would document everything they said and did and call customer service or ask to speak to the GM (if that wasnt her) and tell them about your situation. I would straight up cancel my membership and take my business elsewhere if they did that to me.

    It was the GM. I wrote a complaint to the headquarters, no clue if they'll even care though. I considered leaving, but I've already paid 90 in month fees (first and last month and this just beginning month) and 140, so it would seem like a waste. The facility is really nice, very close, clean, I just don't get the customer service.

    Yeah I was put on hold for 22 minutes. I opted for a lengthly email. I do too. I'm a good customer who pays and wants to pay, and I get treated like some child who doesn't know any better.

    Customer service is one of my greatest pet peeves and I feel you girl.

    When I have a problem and I have to resort to calling headquarters. About 90% of the time if your nice, genuine, and explain the situation as if you're the victim. They are willing to help you out.

    I rememember when I had an over draft fee on around $78 buckaroos my bank account(moved to a different state)...and I genuinely told her my situation. It was waved off because of her! and I sent a nice little gift. <-----This had nothing to do with any kind of attraction because I had no idea who she was...only her name.

    So cheers...you've got the HANZO SWORD!!~~~ swing away!

    huh-- Well, I say you get back your 50, your 140, AND your 90 (or a prorated amount for whatever days you have not used.) Also, take your email and fax it. And then call. You need to get ahold of HQ in as many ways as possible. Is there another 24 gym near by (either with this company or through another? If there's one through the same company, maybe have them switch you over to that gym.

    but yeah, they should definitely pay the 50, and refund the rest just for being asses.

    Then take you business elsewhere. There are lots of nice gyms around that don't cost you extra in fees for stupid accounting errors.

    Try contacting the Better Business Bureau...they helped me not one, but THREE times. The first time, I had a very similar experience to you, but with Household Bank credit card. Household Bank is a "subprime lender," meaning that they give credit to people with bad credit or no credit, so they like to manipulate people into paying as many fees as they can. Basically they screwed up a payment of mine before too, and that resulted in over $100 in fees AND a derogatory note on my credit report. They eventually removed the fees(I proved them to be wrong and the phone rep admitted company's fault), but kept the bad mark on my credit report, so as a result I had to pay this huge deposit on my apartment that I didn't deserve. It took seven months, but eventually everything was cleaned up because of the BBB's help. The BBB also helped me with a dispute I had with Sprint and a shitty-ass debt counselling service(this was right before I started dancing...if I'd started dancing 2 weeks earlier, I woulda never signed up and I woulda avoided a HUGE hassle). A lot of big businesses don't seem to care about customer service these days, because they assume that you'd rather suck it up and pay the erroneous fees than be inconvenienced. That, and because they're such a huge established company, that 1 person leaving them won't make a big difference in their profits. It really sucks. If the BBB doesn't work, you can always try the FTC also.
