    Default The Bachelor

Did anyone see the show? I'm watching it now and it always just amazes me that they have found all these girls to make idiots of themselves for one guy! And this one seems like a total pig and a player! Is there a man shortage or something ? Don't you think the whole concept of the show makes women look sort of desperate?...Maybe it's just me....and yes I will have every single episode on Tivo.

    Thoughts?

Yeah....the rooms are OK but the spa is UNREAL! One of the best I've ever been to.

The funniest part of this show is that they keep them up all night boozing and then have the rose ceremony as the sun is coming up. A lot of them weren't looking so fresh....and you've gotta feel for the girl that sold her car to buy clothes to go on the show.

Ugh, yeah. I absolutely hate the show. Why do women do this? Do they honestly think that this guy is any better then the pickin's downtown?
    Sheez.

Some Icelandic 'mastermind' made an Icelandic Bachelor. It was so terrible. Picture this:

The whole nation consists of meager 300 000 heads. Everyone knows everyone.
In Iceland, we don't have a dating culture and promiscuity is almost the norm.
The guy was just -known- for fucking around with girls.

It made me cower in shame of being a part of this place lol

I used to be in total 100% ironclad lockdown stick grandma in the freezer agreement with you, until I realized that some people will literally do anything to be on television and/or to get even a sliver of their 15 minutes of fame. The sad thing is, no one will ever remember any of these people. Does anyone have a clue as to who was on any of The Bachelors previously other than that first chick? Some people are just sadly desperate.

This show is still on? I watched one season of it. Annoyed me to tears.

"I just met him and I love him..."

You can bet they say that about every single guy they meet/date...which is probably why they are still single. Too many clingy issues.

Hehe...and you know that's why the producers of the show select the people (male and female) that they do.

P.S. - Why the FUCK did that squishy homo with bad hair let April (the statuesque model) go? He should have kept her around for a while, at least. I swear, my version of The Bachelor would be a lot better. Girls would have performance tryouts before rose ceremonies, to see how much they really wanted to get the rose.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

I think it's because you put "the perfect guy" in some romantic fantasy date with perfect lighting and champage rose petals on a yacht in France and you probably do feel like you are "in love" but maybe just with that moment..

^ Unfortunately, they are out there. I've been friends with women who fell in love with every man they've ever met and wanted to get married immediately. Sad but true. One friend who is my age has been married and divorced 6 times...yes, 6.

I would totally watch "The Bachelor/ette, Baby Boomer Edition!"

I'd love to see 40-60 somethings trying to find love in the modern world. Now, that would be an interesting show. By the time you reach that age, there is a real interest in finding "the one" that has eluded you all your life. The singles will have money, probably have kids that have already moved out, successful businesses and careers.
