Is it just me, or do you find it unsettling when SC employees visit the club as customers?
I keep seeing one of the bouncers come in as a customer and it kinda creeped me out...but then even CREEPIER, one of the managers actually came in and sat at the stage.
Maybe it sounds unfair to judge employees for coming in as customers...but to me, it's creepy when an employee (and especially my employER) comes in to watch me strip. It makes me feel as though they are getting a free show every night they work.
I dont know. Is it just me, or is this unprofessional, or worse, just plain creepy?
Edit: Or in this particular case, frustrating??- One night, a new bouncer (who also happened to be a friend of a good friend who I met at said friends party before seeing him at work) was sitting at the bar as a customer.
Now, the way my club works, is that when a girl gets off stage, she walks around on the bar to all the customers sitting there. It is customary (to the point of being cumpulsory, and even conspicuous if someone DOESNT tip) to tip every girl.
So when I came to this guy, I talked to him for a minute, joked about his being there on his off night, and held out my garter (since I'd been there for a minute or two and things were getting awkward). He held up his hand to me and shook his head a little (as if to say 'no thanks'!), saying he was only there "to relax".

I bent down and said "Ok, but since you're new to working here I'll tell you- the girls dont appreciate it when guys come in and sit at the tip rail and dont tip. Yeah, you dont HAVE to, but it's considered pretty rude, especially when you work here. If you are gonna come in as a CUSTOMER, you may want to sit at the table next time if you arent going to tip."
I mean what the fuck? Just because you work here doesnt mean you deserve a free show. This isnt your fucking rumpus room. If you come in on your off night, you are a customer, and it is conspicuous of any customer to not actually spend any money.
Just because I work there, I wouldnt expect to come in, hang out, and get free drinks from the bar.
Sorry, that last bit I just wanted to rant about.

They've always been easier to deal with because they know the rules and don't try anything stupid. I've never had a manager do it though, and I might find that a little awkward. I guess I don't take the staff too seriously, so that may be why I don't mind treating them as customers if they come in as customers.
