Default Looking to expand my pole dancing moves.

If anyone could link videos of themselves or others doing advanced or unusual moves it would be much appreciated.... or sites with pictures of moves.

I've scoured the internet and I feel like I'm sort of locked in on doing the same things over and over, whereas I'm actually trying to continually better my poledancing. I haven't really found anything I can't do unless it involves doing the splits (not flexible enough). And I have no spinning pole at my club so that limits me as well. It seems like its the same 10 moves being done by everyone. Is there nothing left to learn?

I'm assuming you have the Pole Tricks 101 VD with Pantera? There are a few things on that one that I MIGHT be able to do with a few years of practice, if I'm lucky . . . http://www.poletricks101.com/poletricks/default.html

And I hope you saw these two videos. It's not so much the 'tricks', but how thay perform them. Pure artistry. If that doesn't inspire you, nothing will!

Each pole trick can be converted into 10 other moves just strictly by the way you hold you head, arms and legs!

Try one of your favorite moves...change your leg position.

On your favorite spin, tilt your head back as far as you can go!

Each of these things will look completely different than originally!

I teach pole dance classes, there is approximately 10 different moves derived from one!

maybe try taking some classes so you can get some practice in and learn some new moves, that might help too.

That's Elena Gibson! She won, and was then disqualified from, Miss Pole Dance World 2005. I met her once, she is about 5 foot nothing, and VERY bendy!

My favourite move is the one where you hold yourself parallel to the pole upside down. I can't do it yet- one day!

I never see American girls hold themselves parallel to the pole at all, actually (even right side up)- it's such a common move up here.

That would be the inverted candlestick...Every student I have ever had has asked to be taught that move.

It requires alot of upper body strenght! But if you can hold yourself upright on the pole, the candlestick is not too far off!!

Lucki if you decide to take those classes- please post a review. I have seen another site that teaches pole work in Atlanta....I'll try to find the site.
