    Default Arnica Cream

Just a real quick question. I have not used Arnica cream before but everyone on here says it works wonders. I'm going to go get some at the Hi Health right now. I was just wondering how long after you rub it on your bruises does it take to actually work?? How long does it take to make a difference? I don't want to be expecting it to be instant if it takes a couple days. Or is it one of those works when you apply it kinda things??

if you apply it to the site immediatly after the injury (and keep applying a few times a day), there is a good chance it won't bruise at all. but for an old injury, mine generally go away in about 2-3 days..vs my normal 1-2 weeks!

I use the gel because it's less oily. Basically I rub it on my knees and anywhere else I might have a possible impending bruise EVERY time I get off stage. I'm extremely pale and this really helps keep the bruises away. I almost never get them now.

Arnica is amazing! Ive had quite severe bruising on my knees almost disapear within about 4 hours after applying arnica!
Yes definatly apply if beforehand as it prevents alot of bruising.
For bad bruising take the arnica pills too. (The ones which you desolve on your tongue.)

Hi there! I used arnica starting two weeks before my breat aug and had ZERO bruising whatsoever, despite going right from a low B to a D cup, though I took it internally and really haven't had any experience with the topical stuff. I buy it from Whole Foods in little vials that have small, beadlike pellets in them and this stuff is amazing! My PS knew I was taking them and had no problem with it at all, so all I can do is highly reccommend Arnica, it's great stuff.

I mainly use it for sore muscles and it usually works for me within 15 minutes. For bruising or anything else I use something else called Bepathan (it's a nipple cream thing for nursing mothers and usually found in the baby section of the supermarket).

I swear by Anica and Bepathan... they are a stripper's best friend!!

So it can be used to something other than bruising?

Like in place of Icy/Hot? When I first started dancing I made the mistake of putting Icy/Hot on before bed...I couldn't fall asleep because of that annoying feeling. (I'd never used it before)
I don't bruise- but my knees and shin feel very bad after 2 nights of work.

Oooh I love arnica... I use Jamieson's gel formula, a bit stinky but the consistency is pretty good.
