I'm taking super omega complex softgel supplements, and when i burp it i can taste it.
It's doing a good job lubricating my joints though. But man this shit is gross.

There are brands of fish capsules with thick coating so you won't get the fish burps. I just can't recall what brand. Glad you posted this- more women should take fish oil supplements, it helps with hormone issues.

I use Jamison's brand and never get these. They do have a pretty thick coating like MM mentioned.
Are you remembering to take them with food always? That is supposed to help.

Oh nice, I didn't know this. God knows how fucked up mine are. lol. I know it's good for the heart too. I started taking them for my weak knees & I heard it's good to take while you're on Accutane too(which I just started). Seems to be helping.Originally Posted by madmaxine

Ok, in Iceland, very many people take fish oil because it can do alot for you.
What I learned as a kid is to take it -before- you eat, and then eat right away. The capsules will be the first (theoratically) to exit your stomach, so you don't get the taste as much![]()
Im taking a brand of capsules that a vanilla coating on them. I know it sounds gross, but it does seem to neutralise the fishyness. They're Australian made though - BioCeuticals. Not sure if you can get them over there but they're also supposed to be mercury free.
Does fish oil help the skin because someone mentioned it balances hormones? I get breakouts when my time comes so I'm assuming they are just hormonal breakouts.
Try freezing them. My family doc said freezing fish oil gel capsules before you take them will decreaase the GI side effects. I assume that also includes fish burps.
