    Default Dinner Party

At lunch today at my office the following question came up

If you could have any three people over for dinner, who would they be and what would you serve?

    Some of the answers were:

    Peter Sellers
    Micky Mantle
    Frank Sinatra

Pasta and cianti (sp) would be served

    Ben Franklin
    Leonardo Da Vinci
3rd is still being pondered along with the dish

I thought it would be interesting to see who's coming to dinner around here. If you can't decide on just three go ahead and add more.

Jim Rogers - Multimillionaire hedge fund creator who drove around the world in a motorcycle with a woman half his age he was thinking about marrying. Few years later he drove around the world in a modified Mercedes SLK with a different woman half his age whom he was considering marrying. Oh and he wrote a book about both trips.

Warren Buffet - Founder of Berkshire Hathaway. See Stock Price

Sam Walton - Founder of Wal Mart.

As far as what would be served. Penne with Portobello and escargot. probably some garlic bread and a nice bit of veal or filet on the side.

    Eddie Izzard (executive transvestite/comedian)
    Gregory Maguire (author)
    Courtney Love (musician/actress)

I would serve high tea dressed as a female mad hatter.

Bill Bryson, Jared Diamond, and Christine Todd Whitman.

I'd do a good Southern dinner... fried chicken, fresh turnip greens, purple-hull peas, broccoli-rice casserole, and fried hot-water cornbread, with plenty of beer and sweet tea. We should be able to get some lively conversation going.

Taking a break, what pops into mind would be:
    Stan Lee
    James Hetfield
    Edward Elrich

DYLAN!!! Eddie Izzard is my secret dream boyfriend. He's mine for that party. MINE! As for the rest of your list, I'm down with the fascination of hanging with Courtney, but I'd rather start small with her, like a quick cup of coffee or something.

    Let's see . . .

    Eddie Izzard
    Neil Gaiman
    Joss Whedon

I would dazzle them with a gluttonous homemade Mexican feast. Fresh tamales, white enchiladas, lots & lots of guacamole and decadent margaritas. Then we play spin the Cuervo bottle, and things get blurry from there . . .

I would dress like a southern belle with the bonnet and all. I would have my mother over (who is deceased) because I miss her so, Amelia Earhart because of her achievements during her time and Jesus because I look to him for guidance in my life.

We would share love, memories and inspirations over tea.

Wow this list makes my list seem shallow maybe I will rethink this.
