Okay--
so a friend of mine is having these ingrown hair issues on his legs, but he doesn't shave. As far as I know, they've JUST shown up after he did a sport where he wore padding on each leg, so he figured they were ingrown hairs. Except now, a couple weeks later, there are new one's forming and their huge, like half the size of a pencil erasure on the end of a pencil. So I'm like-- ew, that's gross, and he's still thinking they're ingrown hairs, but my ingrown hairs have never looked like that.
so...what's the deal? It could be staph, but the pus is just under the skin, and not looking like it's way underneath the skin (which is what staph looks and feels like in my experience...except for a few tiny pustules here and there.)
what else can it be?
I'm advising him to pop the suckers, soap everything up and wash, exfoliate with either a loofah or a scrub, and then put...I dunno, bactine, or something on it.
