Default get some respect for yourself

so tonight on my last set of an unsucessful double shift this female customer grabs my tit and tells me to get some respect for myself and my cooch as she's getting kicked out of the club for attempting to do the same thing to another girl. i didnt even know how to react besides yelling out her to get the fuck out. respect for myself?!? half an hour earlier she had been asking to audition.

i have NEVER had a guy do that and this stupid girl on her little fucking feminist freakout has me so mad! for fucks sake i dont even have to get naked at my work, its oregon so theres absolutely no contact and i make tons of money (usually) for very little work. she's the one being disrespectful by assaulting me and assuming that im too stupid to know that my job is "degrading and harmful to women". ARRGHHH!
umm hi my name is martina, i have a bachelors in women studies, i work two full time jobs including answering calls at a domestic violence and sexual assault hotline, and im dancing in order to save money with which to open a clothing store.

i wish i had kicked her in the head...

What a RAG. That is so not cool. I wouldn't of been able to hold myself back, and would of been really violent with her...and she would of deserved it. What a bitch Grabbing your boobs? Nice lady.

ARG! Typical femenist syndrome. She feels jealous and intimidated by you so she grabs your chest. Yeah. Nice work lady.

Some people cannot be helped, but applying a little Smacko! (TM) to their face is good. It doesn't help, but you feel better

shit, dancing is taking societys and men's images of women that they shove down our throats and using it for OUR advantage. making money off our womanly figures and features. now thats feminism

Some women's opinions will never change. She was either jealous of you or at first trying to show off for her "man" by wanting to try out. Don't take it personnal. You even said she grabbed another dancer.

Yea, I get women like that in my club all the time. They'll be like, "no I have to much respect for that" yea well bitch why are you in here if it's really all THAT bad. Ignore it, and move on. If anything, I feel that dancing is very liberating!

You said she was trying to audition, right? I bet the club denied her and wouldn't hire her or something so she got mad and jealous and decided to take it out on the dancers that she could. I mean talk about respecting yourself, what about her! Grabbing someone elses breasts and kitty is respecting herself? She was degrading herself by grabbing you and the other dancer. What a "C U Next Tuesday"

Dontcha love feminists who want to free you to live their way and ONLY their way. By the way although you (OP) may feel this job is "degrading and harmful to women" it isn't to everyone. It's not a given. You can do whatever YOU want with your time, mind, and body. I believe disrespectful men and disrespectful women are degrading and harmful to women. Men, especially, have to take more responsibility for their self serving and abusive double standards.

I laugh at people like that. What an idiot, and she doesn't even have the decency to know how stupid she is.

I likely would have grabbed her boobs or croch in retaliation...hey, she started it.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

am i the only one who seriously doesn't even get upset when people say stuff like that? Honestly...I just laugh and feel superior.

Last time I had some older lady tell me very condescendingly in the club to "get a real job", i laughed in her face. And very sweetly told her that when she finds me a "real job" where I can make up to a grand in a single shift, be sure to let me know.

I'm smart enough (and pretty enough ) to make more on a weekend night doing this than a lot of people make in a week at their "real jobs". If nothing catastrophic happens in the next two years, I will be out of college debt-free, with enough savings to also put myself through grad school debt-free, and will have lived more than comfortably along the way. So who's getting the last laugh? She can take her "real job", turn it sideways and stick it up her ass, b/c I don't want it!

Ignore the catty condescending bitches and live your life. they're simply not worth even dwelling on.

Hehe, she prolly gives it out for free at parties under the excuse of, "I was soooo drunk," yet you're the one who puts a price tag on it and profits handsomely. Somehow we strippers are the sluts. Pfft, as opposed to women who snag rich men and let their sugar daddies give them anal when he buys her an SUV?

thanks for the support ladies i just had to get it all out last night after work because i was so angry. how can people be so stupid. argghh!

her rampage started because she tried to touch a dancer on the main stage and got yelled at for it. our club gets tons of girl customers and in general they are totally fabulous. they enjoy themselves, tip well, even buy couples dances (double the price for the same amount of work), but every once in a while you get one of those dumb girls that come in and talk shit to try to make themselves feel better. its ridiculous... some poster summed it up perfectly in the female customer thread a little below this one.

oh and fyi i dont think this job is degrading or harmful to women... thats why it was in qoutations. i love my job.

B/c women aren't taught to be held responsible for their actions. Women can be physically abusive yet not get arrested, there's a mindset that they can always marry a man and be supported, and they're taught that they can be as big as bitches they want b/c it's PMS and it's not their fault.

    QUOTE]

    i'm with you there girl!!!
When people say to me "you're too smart to be in THAT industry" or "why stripping?" i usually smile and ask them how many 24 year olds do they know who choose their own hours, spend their days sunbaking and relaxing, have managed to pay off over $20 000 worth of debt in a year and will own her own home (inner city waterfront apartment) out-right within a few years while purchasing other investment properties in the near future. Has the ability to send her two step-children to private schools and does not have to resort to day care or babysitter services because she only works 3 shifts a weeks and has the time on her hands to still visit family and friends and go on holiday whenever she feels like it because she doesn't have to apply for annual leave. She'll have the opportunity be a stay at home mum for at least a year when she decides to have her own baby in the next year or two because she'll have saved enough money to not work in that period unlike most mothers who are forced to go back to work soon after their baby's born because they can't survive of the husbands wage alone.

Usually once i've run that little essay off, they look at me in a whole different light and say "you DO know what you're doing don't you....?!" I kill off that "dumb stripper" stereotype within seconds and many start wishing they had the guts/looks/body/personality to do it after i've had my say. I'm so glad i can prove people wrong and show them how my 'profession' has allowed me to live my life to the fullest

I'd have looked down my nose at her and said "yeah I'm not the one sexually assaulting people" and then laughed as they kicked her ass out. What a cunt.
