I did a search for several threads on here about foot pain/numbness. However, I haven't found one that addressed numbess in the thigh.
About 2 years ago, my left foot got a pain in it while I was dancing and after dancing, but then it went away. The pain was located just before the foot connects to the leg in the middle top part (the part where straps usually sit). I never wear my straps too tight, so I knew that wasn't the problem, and. at the time, I wore boots. I figured that since I swing around the pole a lot, the weight of the boots were pulling on my little foot, so I stopped wearing them and the pain went away.
The pain has come back when I'm dancing, and I also feel a tingly/numb sensation from my foot all the way up to my thigh. Sometimes it also feels as though the thigh muscle is tightening.I also have a tendency to walk funny on my left foot when in my dance shoes; instead of walking heel to toe, it almost seems like I put more pressure on to the middle of my foot first instead of the the heel. I have trouble pointing the foot, as well.
I'm really worried about this, as I've been dancing since I was 3 and absolutely love it. Does anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?
