Another bc thread

I just started ortho tricyclen the regular kind about 3 months ago and I messed up and asked for the wrong pack of pills. So, now Im on ortho tricylcen-lo and I feel its making me crazy?! Im moody and snapping at people for no reason and also being super bitchy - which isnt me at all. I hardly ever have PMS either which is once in a blue moon.

Has anyone had any similar expericenes with either type?

I wonder if it's coming off the regular Ortho Tri Cyclen that's making you moody? I'm no doctor, but estrogen is normally the cause of the moodiness...and since the Lo has less estrogen, it seems weird it would have that effect.

Yes, I keep hearing more and more ladies say that thier bc pills make them moody, depressed, anxious, and cause them to lose thier sex drive. I've been on ortho-tri-cyclen lo for years, and suffer from mild general anxiety. I'm just now learning it may have been my bc all along. Sounds like the pill isn't working well for you either.

i tried the patch, and it made me crazy AND it gave me weird burning pains on the whatever side of my body it was on. I dont do BC...I cant handle the problems.

It's tricking your body into thinking it's pregnant, then on some you get your period and I swear I don't know what PMS is, cramps yes, PMS no

Maybe it's from "losing the pregnancy" just wondering

these things were invented by men for women, I want them to take the pill, scary huh

Pregnancy is hard on your heart and everything which is maybe why they warn about strokes and clots

^Then you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. What's scarier? Being a bitchy, moody, nervous wreck, or risk getting knocked up when you aren't ready? That's why I'm still on the pill even though it may be causing some negative side-effects.

^ Thats what I feel like now. Either be a psycho bitch or bleed and cramp forever till the end of time or end up getting pregnant b/c the condom broke with no secondary bc. I wish Depo didnt make me crazy or Id be on it again.

I was on mircette last and holy fuck was i insane on that shit. Its been one full month now ( i just ended my first period without bc. )

I think its an awesome idea to have a ton of estrogen to make you skip periods., however I could do without all the insanity that comes along with that.

I took regular Ortho tri cyclen for years. I actually liked it , i never had a breakout and I had light periods.

I only did the lo for a few weeks because then I started the patch to skip periods and off to mircette because i couldn't wear the patch while dancing.

My biggest fear of going off the stuff was my periods being awful. I just had my first one without bc and it was very light... mild cramps the first 2 days and the PMS was I hate to say..moody .. bloating etc. My period has really tappered off but lasted 7 full days. by day 4 it was basically non existant but still there. sorta like spotting.

Im on the sponge its about the only thing I could think of that would agree with me.

try out ortho cyclen. no tri, no lo. i have been on all three at points, and plain ortho cyclen works really well for me, doesnt do the mood-swing/depression thing to me.

my mom grandma sister and me use the rhythm method and it works well for us

I've never been pregnant, but I tend to prefer the std safety of condoms

I don't tend to want to believe the hype that if i don't mess with my cycle it'll mess with me

I don't need a nice period just less chance of several cancers, stroke and god knows what the fuck else is making 1 in 7 women get breast cancer, maybe the pill

i'm just not very trusting of science run by men, i would be very afraid of taking the pill myself

does anyone else use the rhythm method with success???

There's a joke in my childfree community. What do you call a woman who uses the rhythm method? Pregnant. I have NEVER seen it work more than two years.

I could no figure out rhythm methods to save my life.!! All i know is with my eldest son I got pregnant on the last day of my period so and with my second on depo and on my spotting phase of it.

Another pregnancy 3 days before I was due to start.

So i mean..some people just get knocked up lol ..like myself. I dont think it really matters what i do to prevent it or if my body is ovulating.

I took ortho like 10 years ago and it made me feel depressed and gain weight. Loestrin was a better pill for me.
