Default Simple reasons why I oppose war.

Not looking to debate all the worlds past and present wars etc. Just sharing my basic reasons as simple as they are when compared to human psycology. I still wonder sometimes why we cant just treat people the way we like to be treated.

Do not scroll to look at the photos if gory photos effect you badly!!!!!

Any war on a general basis. I like my arms and legs. I like my friends and family to have the limbs they were born with and general good health. I like children happy. I think children should be able to play freely without a care in the world.
I like to go to bed at night comfortable and feeling safe and knowing I'll have somewhere to call home in the morning. Whether I love someone or hate some one, I dont wish them this.

I wish images like these here in this thread would make a difference to those who support warfare. In all honesty though after seeing what have over the last several years from pro war people, I am sad to say it probably won't cause any change of heart or opinion regarding war.

The problem is that pro war people often enjoy seeing those from places or those of faiths or a political party whom they view as the "enemy" suffer in ways shown in those photos. It makes no difference to them if it is an innocent person or even a child either.

The pro war crowd usually is unable to feel pity for those who are not cookie cutter images of themselves. That is why they do not find acts of war committed by their own ilk to be offensive.

In my experience this is more often true than not and it breaks my heart

War is bad, and the media with its biased coverage and propaganda has been able to program people to think in a particular way.

War is just the darker side of humanity expressed. We can build and destroy. We are dual beings and it is because of our duality.... the old "ying yang" concept... that war will forever be used and be around in one form or another.

It's been with us from day dot. It unfortunately a natural thing as even animals have wars. They don't use weapons like we do... they fight one on one (as such) however they do have war as well.

I'm not for war nor against war. I just accept that it will always be around just like it is in nature. It's an animal thing.

I agree - if people saw more than bombed out buildings - war would less optional.

But such things won't be publicized in the MSM of the US - they would be to "obscene" and contrary to broadcasting standards.

Thank God for the internet in some ways.

Every combat veteran will tell you it is better for old men to stand around a table hurling insults at each other than for a bunch of young people to go out and maim each other.

Unfortunately wars start small. A family argument turns into a tribal argument turns into a sectarian argument. Gather enough people around the family farm arguing who takes the land (aka, merely stepping into it or locking the house door saying "This is mine now!")

What is to be done? Break down the door and throw people out? Who in turn bring bats to the next fight until finally there is shooting.
