    How to fade hair colour?

So I bought some clip on extensions and they were blonde and as my hair is darkbrown i decided to colour them....I bought 2 boxes of the same colour dye and I didnt even think about it, but with the extensions being blonde, the colour is a little lighter than my newly dyed hair. Its only a couple of tones lighter but is there any chance I can kinda fade the colour in my hair so it matches the extensions? I've heard that anti dandruff shampoo causes hair colour to fade is this true? Or shall i just keep washing my hair like crazy until it fades?
My hair is dark brown at the minute and my extensions r medium brown.

Is it permanent dye in your hair? You might be better off just dying the extensions darker.

    yea its a permanant dye
Any tips on how to dye the extensions? last time i rubbed it in them together and they were so knotted it took me an hour to individually untangle them..i tried colourin them seperately but i just couldnt find a good way to do it.

I dyed my hair black (accidentally...i wanted it to be a deep ash brown..and it came out Morticia black)...I tried everything for weeks, I even went to a professional stylist to lighten it, and she said my only hope was to grow it out...a friend of mine recommended I try prell...I just washed my hair with Prell (you can find it at Kmart/Walmart for 2 or 3 dollars) every day for a week...and it faded my hair to a nice light brown

Clarifying shampoos like Garnier Fructis will rip the color right out of your hair. My colorist warned me against those. lol.
