Wow, that poor girl totally missed an opportunity for more money.. that was rather stupid of her. I think myspace would be a great place to cultivate customers, I think everyone on it is horny which is perfect! Although the getting the horny and rich might be a bigger issue. But honestly, I think any form of advertisement is great.
You weren't out of line, IMO.

I friended tvon, haha.
No wonder she was creeped out: you're with RON JEREMY!Originally Posted by tvon

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.

I dunno....I would make a myspace account just for my dancing persona...but I wouldn't make a personal one...not if I didn't want someone from the club to see it eventually.
Myspace is a HUGE monster, and you WILL run into someone you know at some point.
That lesson hit home when I used to have an AOL profile....yah, some guy IM's me and says "I saw you topless, and in a thong, and you acted like you dug me, now I know your a liar, a married lying mom who takes her clothes off."
At that point I deleted the profile and made sure any personal info out there couldn't be found by random people.
So, if she felt weird, it's her own issue, she shouldn't have a page for everyone to see if she didn't want everyone to see it IMO.
Oh, gosh. It was crazy tonight. This guy comes up and says "Is your name <insert real name here>?" I stand there blinking for a few seconds while my brain scrambles to form the connection. "Not when I'm in the club, honey" I reply.
He just laughed and told me that he had seen my profile on MySpace. Definately degrees of seperation there. My ex-boyfriend bartended where his band's drummer's old band had played once upon a time.
I really don't mind seeing people from outside the club at work or vice-versa. I live in an area where there are only a handfull of bars, two night clubs, and one dancer club, so if you do the nightlife thing around here, you know, or know someone who knows, practically everyone else who does it, too.
Which makes for interesting encounters, both at work, and out and about.
Always remember: Everyone you meet has loved something, has lost something, and is afraid of something.
I wouldnt really worry about it.
Do you say where youwork in your myspace?
the best was when I was out promoting and handing passes out at a Phillies game and I give on to a guy who I have never met and he says, "you're Ali's friend!"....myspace![]()

Not these days anyway. Myspace got on my ass about me putting 100 as my claimed age on my profile since I didn't really want anyone to know my real age (thought it might work against me). I'm not the only one hence it isn't as rampant these-days as they did go through a period where they messaged all profiles like me (putting 100 as their age).Originally Posted by lilithmorrigan
Plus I actually have a profile (it's my website www.goldcoastgirl.info ) where I have my work calendar and all sorts of work information. I find it a great way to keep in touch with clients and customers .......and allows them to keep in touch with me.
I also have a separate personal/private profile however it is set on private (thus any random person can't view much of the profile except the basics) and doesn't have my face as my main avatar picture to add to the privacy.
