    Default Voters Shift Towards Democrats

Democrats had a 23-point lead over Republicans in every group of people questioned — likely voters, registered voters and adults — on which party's House candidate would get their vote. That's double the lead Republicans had a month before they seized control of Congress in 1994 and the Democrats' largest advantage among registered voters since 1978.

Nearly three in 10 registered voters said their representative doesn't deserve re-election — the highest level since 1994. President Bush's approval rating was 37% in the new poll, down from 44% in a Sept. 15-17 poll. And for the first time since the question was asked in 2002, Democrats did better than Republicans on who would best handle terrorism, 46%-41%.

All they are voting for is a change in rhetoric.

It will be more of the same - attacks on the middle class, growing intolerance and less freedom of speech, overly friendly to big business and CEOs with dictator like powers ("thou shalt pee in this bottle to prove yourself innocent of any crimes before me.")

Agreed. The feeling is more anti-incumbent than anything else.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

Anyone who can look at the events of the last 14 years and still believe that there is no difference between the two political parties is either delusional or stupid.

    Well, one of us is.

Did Clinton or the democratic party do anything about the wave of job destruction through outsourcing? No.

Did Clinton or the democratic party do anything about the wave of job destruction from H1-B/L-1 visas? No.

Did Clinton or the democratic party do anything about islamic terrorism? No. (Perhaps lobbed a couple of missles at some camels.)

Was Clinton involved in wars with no purpose to the US? Yes. Bosnia/Serbia weren't going to attack us.

Was Clinton and the democrats doing anything about violence in Africa? No. (But they sure can put out some "Mr. Bush do something about Darfur commercials.) I do seem to remember him attempting some nation building in Somalia but pulled out in the first sign of trouble. Somalia is now an Islamic Jihad stronghold.

Did Clinton or the democratic party do anything about multi-millions of illegal aliens of all races and origins racing across our borders? No.

Did Clinton or the democratic party do anything about big business stomping on individual rights? No.

Did Clinton or the democratic party do anything about tax reform? No.

My friend, it is all rhetoric - but action and inactions speak for themselves about them being the same. Clinton got lucky he was in power during the tech boom.
