    Default Eye make up help

I have small eyes. (I hope that makes sense) When working at the club I'd like to have on heavy glamour type makeup. But when I go dark, I tend to look like I have two black eyes. I don't mean I look like I was punched. It's just when you look at my eyes, you can't really see much of the white part of my eye and it just looks two black spots on my face.
I have a picture, but I don't know how to insert it here.

I have green eyes and fair colored skin. I have blonde hair. I really like purple and lavender colors. I thought about trying fake eyelashes but I don't know if that would help or just make things worse.

I've tried lighter colors, but in my opinion, I look like I don't have on any makeup while at the club.

Does anyone have any suggestions or point me towards a website or something?

Like I said I have a pic, it's about 1 year old, and I don't wear the colors as dark now as they are in the picture. But in the club my makeup looks like this picture.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I actually have the same problem: light (blue/grey) small eyes, fair skin, and red hair. I too long for that really glamerous, heavy, smoky eye look. While I have accepted that I will never be ble to pull off exactly the look I want to, I have settled for what seems pretty damn close.

Use a small, stiff bristled brush to line your eyes with black or even dark grey powder shadow. You can then use a softer, sponge brush to pull the shadow from your eyeline up to the rest of your lids. I rarely use any shadow/liner on the bottom lash line, and if I use any, I only do it on the outer half, the half closer to my ear, not my nose (sorry I know this is confusing.)

I use the same theory with mascara, only do the top lashes, and be sure to use a curler. You can also use a white or lite grey shadow on the upper most part of your lid (closest to eyebrow), to highlight and make them seem bigger.

Also, make sure your brows have a nice arch, and darken them a bit with an eyebrow pencil.

    Good Luck!

Yay! I'm glad someone else is in the same boat as me (although it ain't the best boat to be in)

Lately I've been doing mid-heavy black eyeliner first into a kind of cat eye shape. I then use a dark purple and go over the eyeliner and extend it a bit farther. I use the same dark purple on my lids. I then use a lighter purple in the center of my eyelids as a highlight. I then dot the lighter purple in the corners of my eye for more highlight. I just use the little brush that comes with the eyeshadow for this.

I'm not the best with makeup but this actually came out half decent. I kind of used http://www.maxfactor.com/user/get/pa..._nightclubbing as a guide. I'm about to go get a few more colors and mess around with it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Btw Feria, you mentioned being a red head (like me). You wouldn't happen to know of a good brow powder/ pencil in an auburnish/ red head color?

    kristi,
I'd love to try the cat-eye look, but was always afraid of liquid eyeliner. Do you use the liquid? Oh, and my friend who is a makeup artist at sephora and has done a runway show for Baby Phat (he is a red-head too) uses anatasia brand brow powder in strawburn. I havnt managed to find it yet, but he swears by it.

If you have small eyes, keep the eyeshadow more dimensional, rather than heavy. Basically, don't go for super dark color all over- keep your darker colors near the lashline and corner/crease. Keep your inner corner and general lid light- medium. also, don't line the inside rim, and keep liner/shadow on the bottom of your eyes to a minimum or none at all.

you should check out Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Strawberry. You can get it at Sephora or anastasia.net and then use a clear brow gel to hold them in place works great

Sally Beauty Supply carries an auburn eyebrow pencil (Savvy Beautiful Brows Liner).

I am a light read head, and I set my pencil with a light dusting of powder. Helps it wear longer, and helps blend the color.
