So I got my free copies (except for trans union but that is another story) of my credit reports and I am disputing inaccurate addresses (online with experian) when I get this message:
"Error
We store address information as it is sent to us by your credit grantors or from public records. This address is historical information and will remain on file."
I get this message for 2 of the addresses one of which I have never ever lived at (my biological father's addy) the other was my address 15 years ago.
Why do they refuse me the opportunity to dispute this? Would I have better luck by writing a letter via snail mail? Is it even possible to have it erased? What the hell are they even talking about?
I would very much like to have my dad's address erased from my file not only because I've never lived there but apparently he's been getting collection calls for me. (Probably sprint, those fuckahs)
