    Default Food (OMG, my thighs!)

I've been reading this forum the most throughout my stripperweb years. Carbs, Sugar, and Fat, oh my! I obsessed about different foods too.... but you know what I found out that worked best for me..... Eat what you want! In moderation! Yeah, sure, mix in plenty of plant food, but sometimes you just don't want it! I LOVE V8- mmmm full of sodium! I don't care, getting my nutrients, drink assloads of H2O, it rights itself. No food should be off limits - period! Get off your ass, turn off the T.V., eat a tasty mushroom swiss burger, (mmmm!) and take a walk! I refuse to deny myself the privelage of fabulous food just to look good! And honestly, after I stopped the obsessing, I dropped excess weight and feel super sexy fine! Since I don't deprive and eat however I feel, I don't over-indulge. Don't let food consume you. You consume the food.

What you're saying makes sense. That being said...a bartender gave me a really good line the other day...."nothing tastes as good as thin feels". Just another outlook.

^^thats a classic anorexia/bulemia line. If you look up pro ana/mia sites and/or "thinspiration" you'll see that quote a LOT.

This is sorta off topic, but I added a different food into my diet for snacking a couple of weeks ago, mostly because I was bored of protein bars, almonds that I was snacking on.

I started eating dried friut for snacking. The goji berry mix from Trader Joe's to be exact.

My energy level has become higher and more sustained and it's really noticeable. And it feels GOOD (and it tastes pretty good too.)

I have no idea if it's fattening or not or whatever, but I am always looking for good food to make me feel less hungry and more energetic.

I guess my problem is just that I eat too much. I have a friend who dropped a bunch of weight and she eats everything, any kind of food she wants, even junk. But she takes meds for ADD now and it makes her have very little appetite so she never eats that much. My problem is that I'll keep eating.

try food high in fiber, lots of water makes you feel full faster. i always say that but i don't do this all the time. i wish i could remember that it makes a difference. good luck on weight loss. i'm staying where i am and eating what ever i want. :-)

I've found that the more I exersize, the healthier I want to eat. It's a cycle... in a GOOD way.

that's what i tell myself all the time. "what's gonna feel better? eating that packet of potato chips then hating yourself afterwards, or not eating and feeling skinny tomorrow"

i'm always obsessing about food. i wish i didn't, but when i diet it consumes me. i'm in the middle of a big dieting kick at the moment and literally the only thing i think of is food. wish it was easier to get past that......

That's all well and good. But, for some of us, thin has nothing to do with it. I refuse to put processed crap into my body. And yes, a mushroom swiss burger is faboo, but I eat it without the processed bun and I use an alternative natural thickener to make the gravy. No white flour in this body.

I eat all day long and find staying thin easy, if I eat real food instead of junk.

    Y'know, to that one line....

I'd rather be fat and happy then skinny and miserable.

Besides, eat organic and cook everything yourself and usually, you'll drop off the kilos like NOTHING!

I lost 10 kilos quitting eating out, buying organic (since it forces you to eat healthy and vegiefilled) and quitting soda and replacing it with juice (just as tasty and cheaper in Aus! Not america, though).... I ate whatever the hell I felt like cooking that day and I just dropped weight.

I always laugh at this. You know who originally said this? Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. Many people don't know this but the ideal body type of rockers (at least the 80s - early 90's ) was to be very very thin. I'm sure it persists even today b/c if you look at most rockers they are very slim. Anyway, ST said this and you know what, I think it's true.
