I like mine. The meat cooks reall fast and it must be sliced thin. The only thing is that many people buy one as part of a "turning-over-a-new-leaf, new-year's-revolution" sort of thing, so they're much, much cheaper to pick up secondhand. I got mine for $5 at a yard sale (yes, I'm aware I'm cheap). If you're cheap like me, check online or SalVals. They can be a bitch to clean, so make sure you get one that has the removable grill.
I like mine as well, although I have cooked thick steaks on it without issue. Essentially, divide your grilling time in half because it cooks both sides at once. Mine doesn't have a removable grill, so I take a paper towel and wipe it down thoroughly when it needs cleaning, followed by another paper towel with soapy water and one with rinse water. Works great, and it's not too much of a PITA.
Some people say it doesn't taste like real grilling, and perhaps it's because I'm not a grilling aficionado, but I can't tell the difference between a Foreman-grilled food and a "real grilled" food. They both have char lines on them, both taste grilled. Good stuff!
My ex loved his, he raved about it alot!

OMG this is the only kitchen appliance that i use religiously. It is excellent!! I love mine!!
awesome. thanks guys. i think i will buy one this week!

A Foreman grill is something that should be in everyones home. You can grill chicken, fish, meats, veggies on it. I can grill nice thick chicken breasts in like 5min on mine! It's great. Get it Darcy you'll be pleased.

you gotta wonder what that guy's kitchen is like.... I think everything he owns is named george....

I have this one. I like it because I can grill a steak and at the same time, I can fry up some mushrooms and onions for it. It's also good for bacon and eggs or even sausage and peppers.
I have an individual one my dad gave me a long time ago. Its pretty good if you're cooking a small thing for one person......

There is a waffle grill!!?!?! I'm missing out big time here in Melbourne! I want one with waffle maker.
I second the removable grills. It's a pain in the ass to clean. I love it though and use it all the time. I would also suggest getting a bigger one than you think you need in case you have people over or something. I went and had two kids and now it takes me twice as long to cook everyone's food.
i really only need a small one. i live with my boyfriend and we don't really eat very big meals so i really only need it to either cook just for me or for both of us. i'll definitely get the removable grill though.
Totally! It rocks! I love it, I would have never bought a separate waffle maker before but now I'm glad I have one!!!!! I have this one, the G5 http://www.amazon.com/George-Foreman...&s=home-gardenOriginally Posted by MelbourneLexi

Every kitchen must have one. Only bad part is emptying the goop tray. But mine is old, they might not even have goop trays any more.

Did you know that Foreman and Hulk Hoga share the same agent. Agent called Hogan before George Foreman and said he can a spokes person for either a juicer or a some grill. Hogan chose the Juicer and we we know what happend to Foreman... Hogan lost out on on millions....
I guess the agent wins either way
Just thought i would share-
funny story

^^^ Wow I didn't know that. It sucks to be Hogan..but I honestly can't imagine calling it the "Hulk Hogan Grill" "The Foreman" has a certain ring to it.

The removable grills are easy, but they also make these funky looking grooved sponges specially for cleaning one of these grills. They work just as well, too. I like it, but I have 4 kids and the one we were given just isnt big enough. I'll have to buy one of the humungous ones.
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
My brother got a new one a few months ago & the newer versions are much nicer then the smaller old ones with goop trays.
Perfect Christmas gift for a carnivorous man.

I had a small one and could cook a whole chicken breast (one at a time) before the one I cooked before even cooled!

I had a small one, but I gave it to my grandma
My dad has the freakin HUGE one though... It's MASSIVE (the width of a real bbq), and it comes w/ its own stand. He loves it. Although, he doesn't really use it that often.
Oh, I love cooking bacon on mine too!! It cooks so quick and there's not too much grease because it drains!!! You can set the G5 up level or to drain too so you can keep the liquids in the cooker if you need to!!
I've recently started using mine all the time again. I have the old version with the goop tray, that has no removable plates and is a pain to clean. I am ordering a new one this week!!
