    Thumbs down Flings at work...

Ugh, so I start at this new club, and instantly have this bit of an attraction for the bartender. Major flirting ensues. (this was back in March) Well, I end up spending some nights with him while I'm in town. This is an out of state club I'm working at, BTW. We email, do a little yahoo messenger, bullshit on the phone, etc... But there was no discussion of making anything exclusive. No talk of dating. And so our lines get crossed. I end up blowing him off, he was starting to annoy me, I met two of his (5) kids, (unexpectantly, not willing!) he's older 40's, lives a couple states away, and I'm a 27 travelling stripper - no go! So two other friends of mine book a week for a major event out there, and I knew there'd be tension with us. He completely ignores me, and then comes out from behind the bar while I'm up on stage, crosses his arms, GLARING at me! ( I never saw this but my girls did )I try to talk to him and he says nothing's wrong, blows me off. Well, I was making $1000 night the first two nights, great! End of the third night, the female manager (who is close with him, and I think likes him) comes to us and FIRES us! She didn't have a valid excuse! She beat around the bush, saying we weren't hustling enough, had too many cocktails... Hey, I'm sorry, but my butt is planted where the $$ is. I also found out he had said if it wasn't for him, I never would have got that particular booking. What a crock of shit, the whole fucking thing. We had a lot of good spending customers there just to see us, and they fucked up! Don't screw co-workers!

I completely agree dating/screwing co-workers is never a good idea. Or a girl better be damn sure this guy is someone whos not going to fuck her over.

I dont know whats worse "accidentally" (Im sure he planned it) meeting 2 of 5 kids of his or being fired for no reason? What an asshat. He gets an asshat award:

Thank you! And you know, I'm fine with the fact I fucked up and got fired, but my two girlfriends also? Bullshit! Had nothing to do with them.

To be quite honest, I don't see how you fucked up. It's not your fault that he's not mature enough to handle a casual relationship. And the "them or me" line he probably gave to the manager?...equally as childish.

Hope the sex was good at least, because he sounds like a jackass as a person.

Sadly enough, oh hell no, the sex was not worth it. He was a biter, and that was obnoxious. And I mean he bit HARD! I fucked up just by getting involved with a coworker in the first place.

I really try not to play at work, and the longer I've been in the business, the easier it gets.

I never had much problem not acting like a fucking dog, but occasionally someone would come along and attack me who would prove to be irresistable. Quite often it would turn out to be a big mistake, as she might get jealous of the other dancers afterwards, or the male co-workers (and sometimes female, too, lol!) would get insanely pissed because they were after her and you got there first (even if it was her idea), etc.

I lost one job from this, at least, and it contributed to a couple more bad endings in clubs--this has made it clear that even a casual fling is generally not worth the risk.

I met my fiance at the club as did a few of our fellow SW members and it worked out fine.

If you feel that this is lesson learned, then fine, but I can't see you blaming yourself for his immaturity.

Sorry about the sex though! The fact that he bit hard confirms that he was a dog!

Well, I also met my ex husband at a club, among other many failed relationships. But I'm with a great guy now, so no more complaints from my end!

Sorry it ended so badly for you...it seems such a sad statement for us supposed "sex work industry" people that a casual sexual sexual affair always seems to cause so much frickin' drama!! My experiences "crossing the line" if that is a viable term usually seemed to be only a problem for as Djoser pointed out the jealous idiots I worked with. If people could only mind their own muthafrickin' business and enjoy some innocent fun every once in a while what a better industry and world this would be!!

Thats happened in our club to a girl too. She got fired w/ the DJ, But... A few monthes later the dancer came back for her job and they took her back. They saw her as one of the money makers of the club, so they took her back. Everything was cool after. : )
