a big thanks to the girls who tipped me off re: the acne and dairy connection.
i have been off dairy & wheat for a whole month now. i secretly knew i was intolerant to both, but couldn't give up the sweet, bready, creamy goodness. i have now and i look different!
i have not had a single hormonal cyst this month. not even a threat of one. i have had those joke zits, ya know, 1 tiny white head you can kill in one swat... but not big soul-destroying beacon pimples.
this is VERY exciting for me because i was at thestage with my zitty face.
there is a number of things i did simultaneously, which wasn't very scientific of me if i wanted to know which thing worked. this means i have to keep going with all of them in case it's only one, or a weird combination of a couple of things:
1) i rarely drink more than 1 glass of anything alcholic in one 24 hour period
2) no dairy
3) no wheat
4) i use the proactiv cleanser on my oily patches only (have dry skin)
5) taking more vitamin b (which is mixed in with my PMS tablets)
6) forcing myself to do deep stretching when i get stressed out.
i'm stoked. no cysts for me. yay.my overall skin condition is brighter...
hooray for everything. not bad for a girl with rampant PMS. heh.![]()
