    Hi can you please help me, anyone. I am looking to get back in shape. I wouls like to flatten my stomach and get in smaller. I guess I do too much crunches because my stomach feels more muscular not flabby or flatty. I need help soon. I also what to get my booty bigger. I want to get back out there. I am 5'5 and 150 pounds. Check out the pictures so that you can get a better picture of what I'm dealing with.

    Try and eat a low carbohydrate diet for awhile until you reach your ideal weight. Walk or jog for 30 mins to 45 mins and then every other day do some weight training or try and join a pilates or yoga class. The yoga and pilates will help you develop lean muscles and the alternating cardio and weight traning will help you burn fat and get muscle. It's hard to start at first, I know I'm trying to lose my belly too, but week by weeek it gets easier and you notice when you look in the mirror.

    So girl go for it! You'll be ready to go out there in no time!!!!

    First of all I'am your same heigt 5'5 and 110lbs. Anyway I love answering health and fitness questions. I'm not a stranger to gyms. I love Curves!! Try to find one in your area. I pay $39.95 a month, it might seem like much but they're all women and I never got my stuff stolen!!....un like In-Shape City (%$&@ing jerks). You need to do cardio to burn fat also cut 200 to 300 of your calories from your diet. There are 3500 calories in 1lb. of fat. Try drinking 4-5 cups of green tea every day (I'ts not just hype, it works) Also eat filling foods high in fiber. You need to do weight lifting to build muscle because muscle burns calories. It raises your metabolic rate, even while you sleep. Rember you have to burn more calories than you are taking in to loose weight GOOD LUCK!

    I'm 5'5" too. I'm actually 125 llbs. I'm muscular, though, from when I used to figure skate and fight...

    I agree with the low carb combined with cardio idea. I think that will give you the quickest results (while staying healthy).

    Try to eat fresh fruit, veggies, lean protein. If you can try to do at least 30 minutes of cardio in the morning, every morning. Pilates and light weight training combined with cardio has been highly effective for me. If you want a real challege that will burn fat, do kick boxing. 20 minutes of kick boxing burns 170 calories and it is very easy to sneak in 20 minutes a day.

    eat right is first. I bought the S factor and have been doing that, but if you are a striper you know the routines, my hubby also bought me kenitics when he deployed so I could work out and be home with our son, that work it is for PS2! I also came up with a routine with my son, he thinks it is a game and I get the exercize and the toning. I also walk every where I was a size 9/ 10 140lbs before our child gained 40lbs during preganecy and now I am a size 3 and still getting smaller. it's not so much of me loosing the weight it is the size, muscle weights more than fat. I am 5 5 and at 118-120lbs it depends on the time of month. So dont get unincourage! Just get out there and do it! If I can do it you can too!

    I can see the effort from your crunches, however, a commen mistake women make(self too) when trying to flatten tummy is thinking crunches will do the lower part. Not so. What would help you is working your hip flexers. Try walking lunges, and reach to your side as you do it, to feel the stretch in your side. That will pull in your lower stomach and give you the lean torsoe you desire.

    Also, like stated above, you won't fully see the results with out added cardio. I wouldn't advise over running because that eats up your muscles that your trying to gain as well. A good work out that Ive found is walk away the pounds for abbs.

    Cardio blasts fat. You have to exercise. Calories in vs. calories burned. Also, if you divide your weight by 2.2 you get 68.18, round that up to 69. Multiply that by 30 and you get 2070. Thats the daily calorie intake you should be eating to maintian your current weight. Now subtract 500 and you get 1570. Thats the daily calorie intake you should be eating to loose weight.
