    Competing Dance Prices.

    Hi all,

I just started my first job dancing working on a street where there are literally about seven or eight other clubs. I seem to be having a particular problem selling dances - our lap dances are $40, and competing clubs offer them for as low as $20. What do you say to a customer who points out that they are $20 across the street? I don't know how to respond to that.

Of course, this might just be because people are el cheapo during the week, and I haven't worked a weekend yet...but it's frustrating.

Remind him that he came into YOUR club to seek quality, and a good time from a beautiful entertainer. Even if they are only $20 across the street, I'd ask him WHY he came into your club instead of the one across the street. Obviously he wants the best...

Why are the prices different? $40 for one song that is great!

Thumbs up Re: Competing Dance Prices.

Thanks, guys. I'm beginning to accredit to a "weekday phenomenon" - after the house cut, I walked with $432 last night.

why are they $40 when everyone else is selling them for $20. Seems like it's going to be tough.

I would tell guys that yes, they are more, but because of that you do less and are more appreciative of the guys that do them (whether it's true or not)...so you give 100% in your dances.

Tell them they 'get more' for the $40, even if it's only marginally true.

Here, the dance prices range from $25 to $60, depending on the club. When I work at a $25 club, I sell it as 'the best deal in town!'. When I work at a $40 club, I focus on the deals you can get buying in multiples. I don't work at the $60 club, but they allow lots of contact there, so I'm guessing that's a no-brainer sell.

So can you 'offer more' for the $40? I don't mean extras, but a bit more contact, the songs are longer (uncut), something like that?

    Search Re: Competing Dance Prices.

We have a 3 lap dances for $100 deal that seems to be easy to sell. What is it about people thinking they're getting a bargain? I think we may technically be a minimal-contact club, but you know...there's contact. It's kind of up to each girl to decide what she's comfortable with.

Working the "get more" aspect is a good idea. I just hate to even imply extras, and that's what I feel like I'm doing sometimes.
