I'm also trying to find a decent vaccuum for under $100.00. I've had 2 by Eureka & they were garbage. I have allergies, so I've heard that the bagless ones aren't good![]()

I have a bagless vaccuum and allergies, and haven't had any problems. I have a bissell, I think it was about 140 bucks.

Well, thanks, do you like it tho?

Yeah, I like it alot. I have a cat who loves to shed, and I am allergic to cat hair (yeah, i know, bad combination) but it seems to pick up everything really well, and it's supposed to help reduce allergies. I'm not sure what kinda allergies you have though...?

I def. have dust/pet hair allergies. I have a small bunny, she sheds too. Saw a Dirt Devil on sale for $45.00 @ Target, where I got the last one (which I'm planning to return). I just have such a small place, I don't see the need for a giant expensive vac. Also, trying to keep expenses down. But, thanks a lot for your input.

You're welcome. If you have pet hair problems, I also sprinkle on Arm and Hammers carpet stuff, it's for pets and helps reduce allergies. It's a godsend. That may help you even if you have a less than stellar vacuum.![]()

Seriously, save up for the Dyson Animal. It freakin' rocks. I use it on my area rugs and hardwoods. Yes, it's stupid expensive but worth every penny. It's like I have a whole new pet in the cannister after every vacuming.
Bwahahahaha I'm sorry this just cracked me up. I feel that way too sometimes. I look at the pillow my cat sleeps on *that has turned from purple to black with cat hair* and think, god how can you not be bald????Originally Posted by Mia M

I have a Hoover widepath tempo that I bought a couple of years ago. If I recall correctly it was $100-120. My son is allergic to dust so I know where you're coming from. Just make sure you get one with a HEPA filter and change the bag frequently. I would also recommend getting an air purifier at some point down the road. I forget the brand name I purchased but I bought one at Wal-Mart for his room and it has made a HUGE difference in his allergies. The difference really has been amazing. hth
