    Default Fraggle Rock

ROFL, i don't even know if there's anybody here old enough to remember this much less having actually seen it. Sure, some members are older, but ppl who were 30 when this acid-trip muppet show was on probably didn't watch it. Mebbe Bridgette, she's about my age.

    Anyhoo...

Ahmet Zappa? Who the hell is Ahmet Zappa? Where's Dweezle (or however you spell his weird ass name)? Moon Unit used to be hot but i haven't seen a pic of her in years.

Anyway, enough talk of Frank Zappa's oddly named kiddos.

I don't remember shit about Fraggle Rock other then Radishes and the trash heap in the back that would talk. Oh and the puppet dog, too. I used to watch it though, as a kid.

I'm only 21, but I remember Fraggle Rock! I never was fond of the Doozers though.

I'm 27 and I remember this show. LOL I don't remember much about it except the weird looking animals and the theme song "Down in Fraggle Rock! (clap clap)" I was pretty young when I watched it though. It was one of my favorites at the time, along with Sesame Street and Mister Rogers.

Madcap, you know I love you, but please don't talk bad about the Zappas or the Muppets. Both groups of people have had such an influence on my mind.

I remember the Fraggle Rock Christmas where they passed around the Gift Rock. It was sort of like a Mexican Christmas where we pass around the tamales. LOL

    Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh! Kill me now!

I used to babysit for extra money in my teens. When I was 15 I had a job watching a little girl named Jasmine. She was fine, but militant about watching Fraggle Rock. It didn't matter if needed to be somewhere or if it was time for her mom to pick her up or anything. She would throw the biggest fit if she was forced to leave the TV while Fraggle Rock was on.

I always knew there was going to be a problem when her mom or dad arrived a little early. Fraggle Rock ended at 4:30. So eventually her parents would just wait until 4:30 to pick her up.

So yeah, not such fond memories of that show.

Oh yeah, that's right, Maxie and Paris are also right 'bouts my age... See this was all some conspiratorial thing to find out which strippers are old enough for me to stalk. It's all one step in my quest for world domination.

Don't ask me why Strippers are a factor in world domination, they just are. Jus' one o' those things.

But, hey, down in Fraggle Rock...

And Maxie, sorry sweets, but the Zappa was crazy. I mean, who names his daughter 'Moon Unit?' Ya know, one thing i read once was that Frank Zappa never smoked pot. It put him sleep. So he did acid. Now, pasttimes i been the biggest acidhead on the planet. My kid is named Tyler, not "Constellation Orion." Zappa had something whack in his head to name his kid Dweezle (or however you spell it).

Yeh.. I was young enough to watch and enjoy Fraggle Rock. It was a favourite... and if it was on today.. I would most likely watch it like a guilty pleasure like I do seasame street every so often. hehehe

I meant that I use the gorg as a base frame of reference for a particular type of person. There was a senior lawyer at a firm i was at, who, i swear to god, looked like pa gorg. problem is, most people don't know who the gorgs in the garden were... so the reference goes unappreciated

it wasn't an actual quote... rest assured, your memories are intact.

The Gorgs were the monsters above ground the Fraggles were always running from. I have publicly announced my love of the Fraggles before, and yeah...there are DVD's out. I own them, my kids watch them, the love of Marjory the illustrious trash heap goes on.

Jim Henson was my nightmare when I was a kid. Fraggle Rock and the Drak Crystal both scared the bejeezus out of me.

I had muppet nightmares all the time.
