    Default Men who use beauty products

    Ladies, what do you think of a guy if he takes an interest in how his face looks and uses beauty products? First of all let me just say I'm completly straight. But I just like my face looking good and use moisturizer, exfoliate, and keep the area around my eyes from not looking stressed, tired and old. That's it! I just feel more confident and better about myself when I look my best.

    It's just always been my experience that people treat me better according to the way I'm dressed and happen to look- (i.e service people are nicer and people are friendlier in general.) I don't see anything wrong with it; I'm completly secure in my sexuality and I know I'm straight regardless.

    I used to date a guy (briefly) that had that white creme-puss crap coming out of the pores in his nose whenever he was out the shower more than a few hours! Soooooo, I am very receptive to straight guys that are interested in keeping themselves suave!

    Just don't be in the mirror more than me, and we're straight!

    Taking special care of yourself doesn't make you gay! I wouldn't assume that, although uninformed women might. Heck, there are even straight male cross dressers!

    Anyway, it's fine. If you're interested in a woman, she'll know. She'll probably be thrilled you have such great hygiene. Some select women may have a problem with it, but lots won't and will think it's great/cute I can assure you.

    as long as you don't have more 'products' than the lady of the house, you're ok.

    anything more than cleanse, tone, moisturise and you're straying into 'phillip seymour hoffman in flawless' territory. please tell me you do not have a separate eye cream...

    WTF ?

    Guys products
    Shampoo = head & shoulders
    Soap / Body wash = under $2
    Shaving cream = Edge under $2 or Creams under $4
    Toothpaste = crest

    The most expensive and frivolous item is cologne........Take your pick...

    Mine are Joop! Eternity, and Drakkar.

    Army Sgt., I just hate my face looking all dry/lifeless and looking like I haven't slept in a day or two. Sue me.

    Drink Water. Avoid caffiene, cigarettes, UV light, and wash your face with Dove.

    Then reach down grab em like you got a pair!

    Seriously dude your a guy, be a guy. Wash your body and brush your teeth. magazines give that must have lotion or I am dry and ugly feeling because they sell advertisements.

    I LOVE it when men take an active interest in their appearance and health. It rocks. Now, I dont like it when they become anal retentive, OCD freaks who scream like babies when the wind blows their hair. And I hate 3754863 pounds of gel in a guy's hair... but otherwise.... rock on with a manicure and a facial, men!

    Thanks Paige!

    I used to work in a Robinsons May and knew alot a cosmetics sales guys and without exception they were all gay, hell one was an operative transexual! I'm not dissing them; they were good friends, but I don't fall into their category when it comes to men and beauty products.

    I never saw men + beauty products = gay. I guess I paid too much attention to men in makeup in the 80s, and all the prettyboys with their styled hair in the 90s. Heh! But no, really.... I dont assume that it makes a dude gay. It just makes them... stylish.

    Nothing wrong with a man looking after his grooming! Women appreciate it. But like most of the ladies say, don't use more products than we do, and don't hog the mirror.

    I dated a total metro (who I also suspect was closeted gay) who coiffed his 'do perfectly, got pedicures and manicures, kept his stubble at a fashionable half-inch, and smelled like a French whore with all the cologne he doused himself in. With all that, you'd think he would have tamed his unruly pubes just a tad, but noooooo! Needless to say, we didn't last long. Men should be clean and free of crud, and smell good--not be all "fancy-like".

    I like when my guy uses his "beauty products". He smells all yummy and is smooth, too. I think his current lineup consists of face scrub, toner, sesitive shave creme, and an after shave balm. OOH, and this peppermint and tea tree oil shampoo that stinks up the whole damn house. I love that stuff. But the part where I jump him and do not allow him out of bed is when he puts on Burberry London (or as I call it, Sure Fuck).

    I wish more men would care about how they look. I like it when men use beauty products, although I don't think I want to see them do it.

    I'd rather them use it if they have to...than let themselves go. Moisturise if you must.

    Just go on and moisturizing and exfoliating yourself till your little heart's content. It doesn't mean you're gay. Beauty takes work for the majority of the population. I think at the very least it provides you some insight into the heavy grooming processes of women, along with looking well-rested.

    Why drop all that money on stuff that's only of marginal value?

    Get some decent shampoo, aftershave lotion, and drink tons of water and stay out of the sun. It shouldn't take you more time to get ready than a chick.

    I tend to notice that I'm the only guy ever in Sephora
    Men should care about the way they look. Using the right type of products can keep your face/skin/hair in great condition not only now but more importantly later in life. Most of the stuff I use is made by Zirh, Jack Black, Anthony Logistics or Dr.Brandt. Just get yourself some shaving cream (Jack Black), after shave, a body scrub, face cleaner (Zirh Clean), astingent, moisturizer, and decent hair products (Jonathan) and you'll be all set and dont forget a good cologne (cant go wrong with something Armani).
