Default Do I leave Customer after the dance...

After reading Optimists post in "Slickest Hustle", she mentioned she did floor dances, then couch, then upgraded to VIP with the customer. My question is this: after you've sold the first dance with a customer, do you stick around with him, or do you move on to other prospective customers in the club?

My home club is strictly "wanna dance" so after the dance you usually left the guy to do his own thing, except when it was slow. At my club in FL I did the same thing. I'd get a few dances off the guy, then I'd move onto another customer, unless it was slow. Is that wrong? I dont want to miss out on making more with my orig. customer simply because I ran across the room to hope to get some dances from another guy

Yeha ..if it's busy just say something like..I have to keep moving or they will think I'm slacking off...but I'd REALLY like to dance for you again before you leave..so i'll be back.

After you've sold the first dance, why would you leave, and have to start all over again selling another dance to someone else?
The guy you've already sold one dance to is much more likely to buy a second dance, or a VIP room, as you've already built rapport with him. Ask him if he would like you to keep going, or ask him if he would like to continue in the VIP room. Even if he says no, dont just take the money and run, because he may want another dance later, or may come back another day. I always sit for a few more minutes, not even a whole song usually, but I make a little small talk, flirt a little, thank him, and tell him I will stop back later and check up on him. Later one, I do go back if I have down time, as now you are a familar face to him, he remembers the good time he had with you, and may be ready for another dance or that VIP room.

So there is a whole thread on this on the blue side. Some guys want you to stay and some guys want you gone so they can see other girls. It's hard to know the difference. One girl posted that she might tell the guy that she is going to freshen up and check his response as to whether he is like "yes, get away from me" or "please come back, I'll be waiting." In fact, if he says he wants you back, I would skip freshening up and just stay, cause someone may steal your man. But if he is like "get away", then you know you can move on and stop wasting your time. But of course you can always check back on him later. After a few drinks, he may decide he wants you back again.

But overall, I think if you are just sitting there taking up real estate at his table, it's a bummer for both you and him. You are cockblocking him from seeing new girls and he may be annoyed with you, and you are losing out on money elsewhere. So I think it's best to just ask whether it be indirectly (I'm gonna freshen up) or directly (Do you want me to stay).

If he's done buying dances then I leave. If you're going for the upgrade you do it while you're ending a dance, not after. If he's done, then he's done.

I never leave until he's turned me down for another dance.

If he does a few dances usually ill give him a hug and ask if he would like me to come back in 30 mins or an hour for some more. I actually get alot of guys saying yes, no one else asks them that. So ill go back 30 or an hr later *why not right?* and about 60% of the time they will get a few more. I wouldnt give up on asking, they probably still have money, might even consider you the best there after being around the block.

    Agreed, keep moving

It's sometimes good when they see you busy working the floor. You could stop by and sit on his lap, just to say hi or maybe mention the vip (plant the seeds!, plant the seeds! ) The goal is to get excellent rapport with him..so when you do come back, he doesn't feel pressured.

See I've done that before with a customer after getting dances. They are usually not interested in VIP and then before I can make my round to visit them again, I see them going into VIP with another girl. That makes me feel like sheesh, should I have waited around

I say put the pressure on. Woo 'em and talk softly in their ear. I even give 'em an ear bite! My friends laugh but custys like that! Go back after ten minutes and again after 20 if he still gets misty thinking of you in the VIP. Don't fatten frogs for other snakes.

It depends on if you're working in a "time and company" club, or a "wanna dance" club.

In a time and company club, dances are typically $20, and guys want to chat with you for awhile and build some rapport prior to spending money on dances. In that type of club many times the guy has bought you a drink, and may be running a tab. It's a slower sell, and in those types of places, most of your money may come from only a handful of customers, so dancing a few songs and then sitting, and then dancing a few songs and then going on stage and then coming back to you customer may be the norm. When all is said and done with this type of guy, you may have made $200+.

You can kind of tell if the guy wants to spend the time with you, as he will more than likely mention it.

In a wanna dance club like those in the Southwest, dances are typically $10 done on the floor, or in Vegas even though dances are $20, it is still more of a wanna dance setup. In those kinds of clubs you make quick small talk and go for the dances, string the guy out as long as possible, collect, and go on to the next guy. In those clubs your money is made by selling as many dances as possible to as many people as possible. In the rare case that the guy wants you to sit with him, he will probably offer to pay you for your time.
