Default back to running; ouch, knees

After a short hiatus--say two decades--I have started running again.

Using a treadmill (so high tech! So many settings! Who needs this "outside" everyone talks about?)

So far, I am doing about 3 miles in 25-28 minutes.

Anyhow, my knees feel a little shakey after a couple weeks of this. I have new running shoes, I stretch before and after, and I am only running 2 or 3 times per week.

Any advice? I don't want an injury to derail my current health kick.

p.s. still looking for a sports massage/chiropractor in or near (north) Chicago.

my physio barked at me when i just 'decided' to get up and run a few miles without any warning to my body. she suggested that i run half a mile then walk half a mile and so on, until i could increase it to non-stop for the whole course.

knees are a notoriously shitty joint. poor design, poor construction. stinkin' mother nature... especially with a couple of decades gone by. you may never get them to do what you want now. do you do squats?

About the chiropractor , I only know of one in Evanston. I here he is really good! But I have not went to him, I am just picky when it comes to chiropractors. I hope my info helps you in your quest to find the right therapist for you!
