So I worked Friday and pulled off 2 champagne rooms and a lap dance (5 hour shift). The club charges a $15 floor fee which they take out of your first lap dance and keeps a $5 cut of every one after that. Champgne rooms are $75.half hour and they keep a $25 cut, so I walked with $100 even for pay-out.
Now Saturday I'm called in to work because some custy's had been asking for me. I work a 3.5 hour shift and pull off 3 champagne rooms. Now according to how it's been for the last six months that I've worked there, I should have gotten paid $135 pay-out. On my way to the dressing room at the end of the night, the owner pulls me aside to tell me that she's now taking $35 out for each CR. She states that it had always been that way since the old owner was there (HELLO! I worked there when he was owner!!) All I could say was "You're going to take that out TONIGHT?" When she replied "yes", I walked away from her into the dressing room. I didn't know whether I wanted to scream or cry. I walked out with $105 instead of $135.
I will not be back until I get my money. I mean, wouldn't it have been more professional to call a meeting beforehand and let everyone know instead of just broadsiding me at the end of the night? Am I over-reacting?
Now I hear through the grape-vine that she doesn't want me back (she had not directly told me this) because she didn't like the way I talked back to her. What? Asking her if she was taking it out tonight? I was probably very snide in my comment, but I think she was completely wrong by raising the cut without notice. What would you have done?
