    Default What's "Normal"

So I was wondering what do clubs normally ask you about?

More specifically, when your a dancer your considered a Independant Contractor, right? And is this true even if you are put on a schedule of when you work?

And what about clubs that might want my real name and address? It just seems unreasonable, since I'm not being paid by THEM, they have no reason to know. And I would feel safer if they didn't, so what would you do?

What are some good questions that you should ask the club?

    Thanks !!!!!

I dont like giving out personal info either. What i do sometimes is fill in the paper work, very sloppy so its hard to read.

Some dancers 'accidently' leave out some letters... or umm... 'accidently' mispell a street name.. or 'accidently' are one number or from their ss number.

or go to a club that does not require that. There are some around.

I dont think its there busingess either, especially because dancers dont get paid a wage either.

in my experience, you can get away with lying about your personal info.... except DOB and name (they will take a photocopy of your ID to prove your age, so you need this.)

I wouldn't make up a phone number though.

give them the adress to a vacant apartment,
    or house near by,
or get a box at the postal annex.

and it was recently brought to my attention
that most places can no longer hire girls on
    as independent contractors and actually
pay them by the hour as a payroll employee
but most established clubs can get away with it still
which may or may nor be good for dancers

    cheers

Where are you located at Corgila? In Nashville since we have to have permits to work in clubs, whichever club you work at will have your personal info one way or the other if you have to get one.

Other than Cali where are most of the girls on the payroll instead of IC's? Hey, I'm nosy.

I'd say the vast majority of clubs do not employ dancers.

Ok, that's what I thought. I was wondering if I was the only girl that has only gone to states that have IC's and not employees. I thought the poor kid didn't know what he was talking about.

    yes, for the most part,
but some newer clubs have to
this is usually inconvenient to owners and but it gives dancers
all the benefits that go along with a regular clock in clock out job.
There is potential for this to work out well for managment and employee(dancers)
but i digress, since my opinions arent valid here,
    given im not a dancer.

My club required my allowance to let them copy my divers liscense and s.s. card. And when we sign in at the front at the start of shift, we have to write our full real name, dL number, and the last four digits of our s.s. number. Rawr.

    the DL copy
and real name could be to make sure
they have legal proof that they infact hire 18+ adults.
Or for tax reasons(I.E. SS card) it all depends on your state and situation.
