Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"
Stick to the outer aisles of the store. That mostly where the fresh/healhier food is. Breakfast cereal that is the healthiest is usually on the top shelf of the cereal aisle.
I don't know what you like and what kind of schedule you have re: cooking. I quick recipe I like that is quick and easy involves the following:
flatbread or tortillas
bagged spinach (as long as there's no fear of e.coli!!!)
sliced turkey breast
light cream cheese
chili powder OR chipotle salsa and a bit of chipotle tabasco sauce
I basically make a wrap with all this. Take the light cream cheese and mix in some chili powder OR the chipotle concoction. (I like spicy, so I put a lot of seasoning to a little cream cheese). Spread it on the tortilla or flatbread. Add tons of the turkey and spinach, sprinkle on some more seasonings. Roll it up and eat!

Raw fruits and veggies and nuts and cooked meats are good. I eat stuff like:
Carrots
Oranges
Apples
Broccoli
Peanuts
Cashews
Peanut butter
Green Peppers
Celery
Mushrooms
Dried Blueberries
Dried Cranberries
Steak
Get the little half size baggies and as soon as you go grocery shopping cut your fruits and veggies up and put them in these bags for grab and go snacks. I also keep a lunch box in my fridge for work and I'll randomly throw nuts and veggies and maybe a protein shake in it so if I am running late for work ( always) I can eat on the way!
Apples for sure.
Grape fruits
Bananas
Kiwi
Plain yogurt
Honey
Onion - great detox which I eat 3 -4 times/week!
Broccoli
Peas
Green peppers
Avocados
Brown rice, Brown bread, Brown sugar,
sorry can't think of much.

Bananas (slowly getting cheaper!)
Apricots
Rockmelon
Grapefruit
Buok Choy
Choy Sam Fa
Bean Sprouts
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Zucchini
Eggplant
Asparagus
Shittake mushrooms
Black strip fungus
Mixed Rocket Salad Leaves
Alfalfa sprouts, mung beans
Coriander
Light soy milk
Eggs
Tofu
Flavoured tuna (mild Indian curry is sooooo good!)
Chicken Breast
Brown rice
Rice noodles
Wholemeal rye bread
Rolled Oats
Almonds
...I spend a lot on food! Haha. And I've been trying to get rid of this last bit of fat on my tummy that was covering my abs, that had been increasing due to a burn out! So I started fresh, and I usually only have these in my kitchen, so now when I binge eat, it's either on fruit salad or vegetables, so it's not so bad! And because the only sugary stuff I have is fruit salad, I sort of see it as a treat as well, so when I'm looking for "bad" food in my kitchen, it's what I go to. I know fruit has a lot of sugar, but I figure at least it's natural and healthy for me. But I spend a lotttttt on food. But because I know I can make something really fabulous if I cook myself, I don't eat out, so I think it works out.
I also always have a bag of frozen fresh vegetables in the freezer, just in case I'm in a hurry to get to uni I can chuck them in a container and just heat them up there, or if I haven't been able to go to the supermarket and I don't have any fresh vegetables left, I just use those.
I've also been taking to baking my own bread, it's so nice and yummy and I know exactly what is in it.

^^ I know Buok Choy, but what is Choy Sam Fa?
Shiitake Masuroom is so meaty and lovely!

Choy Sam Fa is sometimes referred to as "Chinese Broccoli" I think at non-Asian supermarkets. It's a long, green, leafy vegetable, sometimes with yellowy flowers on it. And if you go to yumcha, that plate of steamed green vegies with oyster sauce is Choy Sam Fa.
When I first started needing to lose weight, I'd add a plate of it to my lunch and dinner. Very filling and tasty but so healthy and falls into the same kind of nutrition as Buok Choy.
And shiitake are great! They absorb flavour sooooo well.

This was I always make sure to have on hand:
Fridge:
Milk
OJ
Cran Apple Juice
Spring salad mix
Spinach
tomatoes
cucumber
onion
portobello
Balsamic vinagerette
Poopy seed dressing
Lemon
Garlic
Various yogurts
Butter
Apple butter
Peanut butter
swiss cheese
goat's milk feta cheese
sliced turkey
vairous hot sauces
For my freezer:
Pre-grilled chicken breasts
frozen porterhouse
Frozen cauliflower/broccoli mix
Pantry:
Pretzel pete's honey mustard pretzels (THE BEST!!! I like that brand's sour cream and
jalepeno flavor too)
Pastaroni shells and white cheddar (I add chopped grilled chicken to this- so yummy!
Canned corn
Various low sodium canned soups
rice cakes
double stuffed oreos
salsa or spicy flavored doritos
I'll also keep an apple or two around. Fruit usually goes bad on me, so I buy it at the corner deli when I want it.
Depending on what I'm in the mood for when, I'll stop at grocery stor to buy supplements for the above. I find that with all the above I can pretty much satisfy myself with whatever craving I may have...
