Hi chicas,
I just read Rose's post about having her top stolen --and not just any top, but a prized posession of hers! NOT COOL! I haven't had any of my clothes stolen so far. However, last Christmas I received an expensive perfume while spending the holidays with my folks. When I returned home, the perfume was not with my things, not in the car and not back at my parents' house. I never found it. I was absolutely heart-broken! It was the one thing I'd wanted as a gift that year and I only got to have for a mere couple days. It must be even worse when you know some douchebag stole it right from under you.
I pulled out my psychology book right now and the DSM-III-R (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorders - Third Edition Revised)
According to these sources, there are two different types of panty stealers and thieves of female clothing. The first is of a disorder called "transvestic fetishism" This disorder is described as,
"The essential feature of this disorder is recurrent, intense, sexual urges and sexually arrousing fantasies, of at least six months' duration, involving cross-dressing. The person has acted on these urges, or is markedly distressed by them. Usually the person keeps a collection of women's clothes that he intermittently uses to cross-dress when alone. While cross-dressed, he usually masturbates and imagines other males' being attracted to him as a woman in his female attire."
The second type of panty stealer is labelled as "Fetishism" in general. The description of this pervert reads as follows,
"The essential feature of this disorder is recurrent, intense, sexual urges and sexually arrousing fantasies, of at least six months' duration, involving the use of non-living objects. The person has acted on these urges or is markedly distressed by them. Among the more common fetish objects are bras, women's underpants, stockings, shoes, boots, or other wearing apparel. The person with Fetishism frequently masturbates while holding, rubbing, or smelling the fetish object, or may ask his sexual partner to wear the object during their sexual encounters. Usually the fetish is required or strongly preferred for sexual excitement, and in its absence there may be erectile failure in males."
The other two possibilities would be a) kleptomaniacs and b) what I call, "assholes!" --I'm talking about the guys who steal our stuff just to show it off to friends or hang it up on their wall. However, I believe the most common panty thief is the fetishist. Recently, in Hollywood, a man was found with over 100,000 pairs of stolen panties stashed in his basement. Weird, eh? What freaks and sickos! I'm not sure whether to feel bad for them since they have a mental disorder or whether to let my rage continue to build. Our panties are not there for their demented pleasures involving stealing our clothing so they can sniff different articles in order to get off. Crikey! I guess you can't help but run into perverts in our business though.
Keep a close eye on your stuff,
