Default Clothes Hate Me.... A Rant.

I swear they hate me. LOATHE me. Torment and ridicule me! GRRRRR.....

Jeans... never fit right. I like jeans to be tight on my ass and hips, and loose at my ankles. With skinny ankles and a huge ass, I cant find jeans that fit. Unless I wanna pay $200 for freaking denim. Nuh uh.

I bought a rhinestone belt today, for work. It only fits half of me... and its One Size.... I could cry.

Braceletes and watches NEVER fit. They all fall off.

I have size 4 jeans that fit but I have size 5 and 6 jeans that are too small to get past my mid thigh. WTF?

I wear BIG sneakers but average heels.

I wear kids shirts except for JUST the armpit area.

    *sigh* WTF?????

You are not alone. I, too, have a big ass and small ankles. Jeans shopping is torture for me.

And then, right when you get your jeans where you want them, you wash them and have to start all over!

I went dress shopping a few weeks ago. I'm normally a size 7 or 9, depending on the cut. For some reason, I fit into a size 3/4 in one brand- a first for me, and odd, since I haven't lost weight recently. I ended up going with another dress, and I didn't check the size until I got home... it's a size large. Hahaha, WTF.

Who exactly are these clothes made for, anyway?

I know what you mean! I usually wear a size 6, but I sometimes wear a 4 or an 8 depending on the brand of clothing. I don't particularly like Gap's clothing, but when I want to feel skinny I go in there and try on jeans. I can fit into a size 4 there whereas I can't at most places.

It's a real bitch for me to find jeans that are flattering. It seems they're always either too tight in the waist or too baggy in the butt area. Not only that, but I'm 5'4", the height of the average American woman. It seems like most jeans are too long for me and are designed for women who are 6 feet tall! What's up with that?

Paige...you just described my whole wardrobe.I have all the same probs..big ass, tiny ankles and wrists...now though at least i can get dresses to fit a bit better since I had my boobs done. Before I was a sz2 uptop and a sz 6 on bottom! Dresses were either WAY too tight on my ass, or flapping in the wind up top...ugh....proof that fate has a sense of humor.

Designer jeans never fit women with any ass right. Try wet seal, angels, and weathervane, they are a little curvier. Don't know if these will work for everyone though. I only have experience with the petites in these brands. I've heard that baby phat and apple bottom also fit well, but the selection is so limited in my area, I've never found any that I liked well enough to try.

Ha! Blondhottie I need to go shopping with you. I'm almost 6ft and I have a hard time finding jeans that hit the floor. I hate jeans shopping with a passion.

My local paper had an article about this recently. In order to attract more buyers, some brand's sizes are being scaled up. Women get the "OMG, I can fit into an 8" feeling while weighing in at 190 pounds. The sizes are getting bigger and bigger in order to provide that rush to consumers. Personally, I can range from a 3 to an 7, depending on the brand name and the cut. *irritating*

I have to get a size ten jean just so they are long enough - standing at six feet even is well simply put, a bitch to try to find cute jeans to fit. Ladies if you have a medium sized bottom and are tall. Express is the place to shop.

Plus on top of that I have curves - Hips that is, wide ones. Not the axe handle wide of Thema-Mae, just a nice curve. Plus I have huge boobs ( which I love ) Hot topic is about the only place I can find cute shirts that fit and wont be like a half top after one washing.

Anybody else have these issues? If they do, they need to share where they shop.

Paige I had the same problem, though now my ass has shrunk and so jeans don't fit my waist and are baggy in the butt. Argh! Anywho, as far as cheap jeans go, I shopped at Sears, always, and bought LEI. They run about 30 bucks a pop, and I could ALWAYS find a pair that fit great.

Try Charolette Russe, their jeans have some spandex in them so the butt always fits just right and they come in like 10 cuts so you can get the loose ankles you want!

Oh no no no! I AM 6' tall and my nightmare is finding jeans to fit! Most places assume if you are 6' tall you are either SUPER skinny or SUPER big in the butt area. And then if you find average butt sized jeans, they NEVER reach past your ankles! DORK ALERT!!!!

I wound up buying men's jeans for so long because they would make them in so many sizes......

Also, I am a rather big chested girl...so as tall as I am, with the twins here, shirts never cover my mid section, and I don't like to walk around with everything hanging out when I am not at work....so I buy bigger shirts, but they are about as flattering as a potatoe sack.....*sigh* It sucks.

OH!!!! one more thing.....one time my friend talked me into buying a pair of $100 jeans because they are "the perfect fit and length for tall women". Yah, the damn things fell apart after about 4 months. Grrrrrrrrrr!

I'm wearing one of my five pairs of awesome jeans right now. Yes, you heard me right, five pairs. All identical. All awesome. (I'm a lucky bitch.)
Target had two circular racks plus some shelves of stretch jeans on clearance. For like $12 a pop. After much trying on, I found that the boot cut in size 6 actually looked good on me, only the second pair of women's jeans that have been flattering in my life (the first pair now consists entirely of patches, seams, pockets, the zipper, and more patches).

So I cleaned out every pair they had like that in blue.
On one hand, the girl at the checkout looked at me like I was insane. On the other hand, I will never have to shop for jeans ever again! EVER! (Or at least not for a few more years.)

Before these jeans, I just bought men's 29 x 30 online and/or stole my father's jeans. I'm pretty sure at least three of my pairs were ones my mom had originally purchased for him.
    Yes, I'm a bad daughter.

I have a butt-thigh problem with my jeans. I get a pair of jeans from the rack & can eyeball them seeing they'd fit my butt but I can't get them over my stupid thighs. I have a pretty nice butt too. So why do they expect women with an ass not to have thighs. Consequently some that fit in the thighs are too big elsewhere. I hate jean shopping & right now a couple of my faves have worn out & I need new ones.

I have a pair of Blue Asphalt Jean Capris from Wet Seal that fit so great I wish I could wear them in the winter. They're even button front which I've never previously found flattering on me.

I absoloutly hate jeans shopping. I'm down to 3 pairs of jeans at the moment, total. One has a big hole in the knee, one stretches out in the ass after an hour or two of straight sitting ( at school) and then sags pretty badly for the rest of the day ( it looks like I craped my pants). The last pair is very nicly cut, but the style was discontinued, and I've torn up the bottoms of them, so they look a little rough.

The friggin ones that sag in the ass looked really good when I got them, but after a very bad case of strep and losing 17 lbs in a week over a year and a half ago, my body has not been the same, and I never fully got my ass back. *Sigh* It used to be my best feature.

I want new jeans, and I'd even spend if I could find the right ones, but, as a full time student taking the short semester classes ( never again!) I literally have a test o rtwo every week, and no time to spend all day jeans shopping. I havn't even seen my best friends in over three weeks. Just no free time : ( I have no life anymore.

Jeans can usually fit me alright...but i have boy hips so they're always always falling off my ass. I hate having to do the "hiking them up" jig, but if I buy a smaller size they're glued to my ass in that way I don't like. I wear belts, but they don't always work like a real waistline and womanly hips would. Anyway.

My main issue with jeans are all these 'super low rise' monstrosities. Maybe it's again my lack of real midsection curves, but these all look awful on me. They make me look a lot chubbier than I am, wrangling all my fat to one nice spot. Why aren't there more jeans that just, you know, cover the love handles?

I hate upper body clothes. All my fatness seems to go to my midsection and arms (and boobs), so often shirts, to be big enough, will slip down while I'm seated in class, and I get all hoochy looking. Cleavage in front of profs, not so good, lol. I'm taking to wearing sweaters over tailored shirts or else blazers. Queen nerd.

Ditto on hating jeans shopping. One of my colleagues loves to go jean shopping. I just don't get it. I am in deperate need of new jeans and practically have panic attacks when I walk into the jeans section of a dept store. There are millions! I try on two or three and I'm dont for the day. I think I've gone three or four times already...

It'll happen. Finding the perfect jeans is like a female's version of finding the holy grail.

Lol Katherine you have to try on more than 2 or 3! Especially if you want the best look. Since I need a longer inseam... I went into Buckle and as I'm looking at the jeans, a SA somes up and asks if I need help. I told her yes, she looks at me then goes off to get 3 pairs of jeans in 35 inseam. I went in, tried them all and they all fit great!

It was hard for me to spend $75 on no name jeans (I love to shop at Century 21 for a bargain) but I was so happy I didn't mind for long. I picked my favorite and paid for it.

So try to find a store with a competent sales associate (probably not easy huh).
