What do all you brunettes gone blond use to lighten

BEFORE you treat the landing strip hair, coat your outer & inner labia in petroleum jelly....you don't want chemical burns down there....Use a frosting kit to strip the color out of the hair before you use your chosen shade of blonde.
I just did it today! I'm going pink again, before my natural phase I dyed it for a year and a half.
I used to use vasaline as a barrier, but stopped after a while and have never had any problems. I use lightening powder and 6%/20vol developer, mixed with a tinting brush in a plastic bowl, all that stuff came from Sally's. Apply with the brush, leave for half an hour and wash off. That gets me a very light blonde with no more discomfort than the odd itch. Roots show really quickly though, since I'm dying it pink it doesn't really matter, but to stay blonde you might find you need to do it once a week if you have dark hair and lightish skin.
I understand that corn starch is a typical agent to "thicken" to that you get less runnage.

I just go chihuahua style.
And I've seen many girls not care about the drapes. Depending on your look, guys won't necessarily think less of you if you're not "a real blonde".
As an unnatural redhead, I sometimes like to lighten the carpet to match the drapes (the same way I lighten my eyebrows to look a little more natural). If you've only got a landing strip and no hair on the outer labia itself, it's pretty easy, and I haven't had any problems with it. Just make sure you're using a "no drip" color (I'll have to try Jenny's corn starch suggestion), and make sure you do an allergy test a few days in advance. I would actually recommend doing the allergy test just above your pubes in front (where you can cover it with a bigger thong if you do get a reaction) in case that skin is more sensitive for you. (Don't do a test anywhere where there's friction between body parts, like the hip-leg crease -- if you do get a reaction that'll just make it more excruciating.)
It's kind of a pain in the ass because (1) you have to sit around naked with cold slightly itchy cream on your pubes for fifteen minutes or more and (2) you have to retouch it pretty frequently. Oh, and (3) it may make your pubes feel scratchier unless you feel like conditioning them every time you shower.
In my experience, it's only worth it for a big photo shoot or special occasion.

Yep.^ I did try to dye mine, not lighter, but the same color I use on my hair (dark/med. blond). I use Garnier Nutresse. It didn't seem to do anything.
