    Default Skin Tightness

Hey Everyone! It's been awhile since I last posted but I've been keeping up and browsing through the recents posts when I have time.

Anyway...2 1/2 weeks ago I got implants with a girlfriend of mine. When we went in for the consult the doctor mentioned that my tissue was looser and not as tight as my friends tissue. I didn't think anything of it till we were hanging out one day and I realized I can pull the skin on my neck or arm and her's is really tight and thick. Well today when we went back into the doctors office he again mentioned that her skin was thicker when she complained that my implants were loosening up much faster than hers.

So that being said...now I'm paranoid! LOL! I've tried searching for this but nothing good comes up. Is there something wrong with my skin that it's loose/ pullable? I'm just worried maybe this is something that's not genetic that I can work to reverse or prevent from being a problem with wrinkles or saggy breasts

Let me know what ya think

It could also be that you simply have more skin damage than she does. Now, the question is whether you skin has a lot of elasticity. If it does (snaps back right away), then you just have more stretchy skin (the benefit- less severity/risk of stretch marks)- and that's genetics.

The ligher the skin, the thinner it tends to be. Thinner skin is more prone to damage and aging.

So, if your skin is light, thin and stretchy, chances are, you will be more prone to sagging as you age- so be religious with the sunscreen and minimize skin damage.

hmmm...so if it's genetics it's not too big of a problem but if it's skin damage then it is likely a bad sign? How do I tell the difference? And are there any vitamins or anything I can take to improve this if it is something I should be worried about?

Well, a good way to tell how you're going to age is to look at your parents and how they aged. Now, if they (or you) have a different lifestyle, you have to put that info into the whole picture, but if your mom or dad experienced facial sagging early, then there's a chance you will. Wear sunscreen, eat healthy (lots of fresh veggies and fruit), get sleep, do lots of low-impact exercise, drink lots of water, don't smoke. As for vitamins, take a good multivite.

It's stretchy all over? If it is it just sounds like a natural skin elasticity variation. Ever see that sideshow guy who can pull his neck skin up over his head?

I smell a doctor trying to sell skin rejuvenation procedures....

If I'm correct, you did grow up in Hawaii, which is pretty sunny. You might have skin damage from years of exposure. BUT you are also very young and can treat some of that.

Are you eating right? Poor diet can cause sallow skin. Also not exercising...your skin needs good circulation.
Some skin friendly supplements are: silica, multivitamins with biotin, L-Lysine & L-Glutamine combo (cheap too) CLA Tonalin, & MSM. Hit the heath food store & start exfoliating & you'll see a difference.

Yeah looking at my parents is a horrible idea...LOL! They both are very ill and haven't taken care of themselves! So I have no idea what I'll look like if I actually take care of myself - but they are warning enough not to neglect my body!
When you look at my skin ti doens't seem any different than my friends, but I can pull alittle skin away from my breast or neck or even forearm. She is 23 and I'm 22. She is very atheletic though - and I'm SOOOO not - so I wasn't sure if it's just that she has more muscle under the skin....
Oh maxine....I feel so special You remembered I was from Hawaii! LOL! Yeah....I'm sure living there damaged my skin...and I do tan now. My diet isn't the best and it's not the worst. I need to make a better effort to eat more veggies. Yeah - I don't know if the doctor is working on trying to sell me something but he hasn't mentioned anything yet. He just simply stated my in comparing how our boobs turned out that my tissue was looser and hers was thicker.... hmmm....?
